  1. I know this issue has been brought up on the Alfred forums previously with no resolution. Has anyone managed to find a way to have snippets automatically expand in Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 and Adobe InDesign CC 2017? I am currently using MacOS High Sierra. Text expansion is working in Adobe Photoshop CC 2017. I am evaluating whether I can use Alfred as a replacement for Text Expander, which does perform snippet expansion correctly in these applications. I am, of course, a Powerpack user.
  2. It would be great if one could change the snippet expansion sound. The current sound always sounds like an error to me.
  3. I find create snippets cumbersome, so I often don't do it. Is there an easier way to create snippets on the fly than opening up alfred preferences and filling things in there? It really seems like there should be a workflow where I can take something in my clipboard history and quickly make it into a saved snippet.
  4. I use the clipboard and snippets a lot for work, and we often test our websites in different Operating Systems and Browsers by means of VirtualBox. I use automatically expanding snippets to save time, but I noticed the snippets and the clipboard do not work inside of VirtualBox. I've used a program called aText (https://www.trankynam.com/atext/), which is able to paste into VirtualBox, so I believe it's possible.
  5. I've taken to using snippets to store URLs to animated gifs - for easy referencing and pasting into chats etc. What would be *great*, would be to support quicklook by pressing a configurable hotkey, within the Snippets Viewer, if the snippet contents is a URL, to preview the GIF - although this would be great for previewing any kind of URL. Cheers, can't live without Alfred!
  6. It would be create to create snippets with multiple cursor locations. Use case: I want to create a snippet with the same value in multiple locations. Example 1: console.log('======================> {cursor}', {cursor}); Example 2: Hello {cusor}, You're invited to the following event. I look forward to hearing from you {cursor}
  7. Snippet: Expected behavior: `\*` should be auto-expanded to `☆` regardless of caps lock state. What happens: If caps lock is toggled, the text will not auto-expand, despite having no characters that are changed by the caps lock toggle. System Details: Alfred v3.4.1 [860] macOS Sierra, Version 10.12.5 (16F2073)
  8. This forum has seen a lot of posts recently (including my own) which are basically geared towards allowing Alfred to replace TextExpander in the wake of the Smile pricing/sync kerfuffle -- ideas like allowing tabs/form filling, input within snippet expansion, snippets triggering workflows/scripts, case sensitivity in snippets, etc. Thinking about what it would take for me to be able to replace the 250+ snippets I have in TE with Alfred snippets, there are two killer features....1) is snippets to trigger scripts (mostly for date math)....I suspect this is in the works....2) is the ability t
  9. Cribbing from my comment here, I'd love for search in Snippets preferences allow for even greater search sophistication, not just the present 'search whole string as entered' behaviour. At present, if I have a snippet with the contents Thanks for writing!, I can find it in Snippets preferences by searching Thanks for but not Thanks writing. I've got a lot of long letter-y bits in my Alfred snippets, and this behaviour (implicit-Boolean-AND-between-terms, rather than the current string-in-inverted-commas verbatim approach) would help me more easily find the particular snippet I'm looking for (o
  10. One feature that I like in aText, my current text expander app, is the option to use the same keyword for multiple snippets. For example, I use ',mail' for all of my email addresses. Whenever I enter it, a small window pops up and I'm able to key down and up and hit enter to select which email address I want to use (Here is a GIF of that: http://tinyurl.com/y8k2ur7y). This saves me creating a unique keyword for each email address and try to remember it when I need to use them. I don't believe Alfred, even with the latest v.3.4.1 update, has that feature. Am I mistaken? Perhaps ther
  11. Fairly rookie post. I could not find the answer. I hope I didn't miss the obvious. Is there a way to move snippets between folders? I started one to correct my most common DOuble CAps and added a few others. (BTW-Alfred is FANTASTIC! at correcting typos--in any application. I love it.) Now my double cap list is growing fairly quickly and will be huge soon. I want to start a new folder with the non double cap snippets. Do I have to start from scratch or is there a way to move them? This place is so on the ball I was hoping it would work out.
  12. I would love it if Alfred would add the possibility to add sub and superscripts to snippets. This could come in handy for writing down mathematical or chemical formulas. I use Alfred for snippets mostly and this would improve my experience significantly. ( I looked in the forums for this feature but I didn't find if, sorry if I didn't look well enough)
  13. Alfred 3.4.1 Build 860, Friday 21st July 2017 macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6 When trying to create snippets if the first few characters of your snippet have been used before you are blocked from creating a snippet example: trying to create a snippet for the prime and double prime characters if we create the prime snippet using the keyword: `!prime` then when trying to create a snippet for the double prime you are blocked from using i.e. `!primed` as soon as you type `!prime` in the keyword field the text turns red and no matter what you type after
  14. I hate to post bug reports, because it makes me sound dissatisfied. However, I am not. I absolutely adore Alfred. There, I said it! But I thought it worth to report this: Expansion works correctly until text has been copied within NetBeans After that, the keyword expands into the copied text instead of the desired snippet So, to put it as an example I open NetBeans I place my cursor in a document I type my keyword The keyword expands and my snippet appears Good I then copy something from the document I’m working on, say “$my_lov
  15. Quiver Workflow This workflow allows you to create templates with Handlebar syntax inside of the Quiver program. To use the workflow, you have to have Node.js installed first. I recommend using [Homebrew](http://brew.io) to install it. You need to make sure you have Node.js 6.0+ on your system. As of this update, I am using node.js 6.6. With the node program installed, set the environment variable nodeProg to the right to the directory path of the program. If you used HomeBrew, it should be "/usr/local/bin/node". Once Node.js is installed, go to your Quiver Library file i
  16. I just added workflow snippets to my Time Stamp Workflow and noticed that I had never shared it. So, here it is. You can use "ts:stamp" to list the pre-defined date/time stamp format and paste the current date/time into the top application. Or, you can use the "ts:build" to build your own date/time stamp to add to the list. I also have several predefined snippets: ;tsl = the current date/time using the last select date/time stamp. ;ed = the current date/time in the mm/dd/yyyy format. ;dow = the current day of the week. ;nsu - the next Sunday date using the last selec
  17. Hello, I would normally not want to expand my snippets in midstring. However, for for certain expansions, such as a; => ä o; => ö Only the special characters, I would like to expand in midstring. Currently I see the option only to enable mid string globally. It would be very helpful if it can be configured for separate group of snippets.
  18. I really like the idea of Alfred managing my text snippets (I'm using a separate app for that so far). However, when trying to migrate, I found that Alfred has no option to expand snippets only when typed as a entire word, i.e. trigger the expansion only after the snippet keyword has been terminated by a space or newline or tab. That's a feature available in most text expanding utilities I know, and if Alfred had it too, that would be great! For now, I can include a space in the keyword, which is the most common case. Entering a tab or newline in the keyword field does
  19. Hello, Since Adobe Illustrator was updated to CC 2017, snippets won't auto-expanded. There's no problem in other applications, issues only in Adobe. From 10 times it works 1 time. I have tried to check Help and Troubleshooting articles, but no luck. The problem is probably in Adobe, on the old version everything worked. Please help resolve the problem. Thanks in advance. Alfred v3.4 [850] Adobe Illustrator CC 21.1.0 OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
  20. How can you preview links in clipboard history? I copy a lot of bitly links into my clipboard and re-use them, the challenge is when I'm trying to sort through the Clipboard history I can't tell the content of them. Is this possible? How could it be done?
  21. I've been trying to figure out for a while now (a few days) and it has been eating me up. How does one create a workflow that can allow, with a keyboard shortcut, the pasting of multiple items from the clipboard? Ideally, I would be able to copy several items to my clipboard, and then with some shortcut, be able to post all the clippings from the last 5 minutes? But, it would also be really awesome if I could open the clipboard viewer, and with the "Shift" key held down and navigating with arrows, be able to select multiple ones to past in. I've been searching th
  22. Hi, Yesterday I updated Alfred to the latest version of Alfred (3.3.2) as I wanted to get rid of the little bug I encounter every time I expand a snippet for the first time of my session. Alfred either expands the latest clipboard item or if the text of my snippet is "Alfred", Alfred expands "AAlfred".
  23. When I use « snip » keyword (and a short text start) to see my snippet list, the snippet list appears with some CMD + N keystroke. I use this list when I forget my keyword so, in this list, I'd like to see my keyword too, for memory refresh (see the pict).
  24. Is it possible to create a snippet that includes an image, and/or different fonts? Ideally, I would like to create a snippet that inserts an image of my signature, followed by my address in smaller fonts.
  25. Add by options to disable snippet collections without having to delete them from Alfred preferences. When making a presentation, there are many times that I need to copy and paste large text blocks or code snippets in front of a large audience. Snippets are a great way to paste this text without having to switch applications or store everything in a text file. However, I have different demos that all have similar snippets and would like to enable only the specific snippets for a certain demo so I can easily query them without conflicting with a different collection.
