I'm trying to find a workflow that finds all files in my Trash folder older than xx days and force deletes them. Does anyone know of such a workflow? Also, does anyone know how to schedule a workflow to be triggered every day at a specific time? My ultimate goal is to replace Hazel with Alfred workflows.

Hey all, Wrote this tiny Alfred workflow that removes all "Screen Shot 2015-10-01 at 9.23.53 AM" files that end up cluttering your desktop after a while. Just have to type "clean" in your Alfred console. The workflow is here: https://github.com/lambtron/alfred-clean Enjoy! Andy

It will be great if we could delete a file by simply saying "delete <filename>". I searched everywhere but there is no such workflow in alfred, launchbar or quicksilver. I know there is an operations menu which we can access by option+command+\ but thats a cumbersome process. as a CLI fan i like typing a command and be done with it. "delete <filename>" can suggest multiple files if they start with same name. then with up/down arrow key we can select the file. this will fill the text box with the filename which we intend to delete like "delete text.Docx" . simply press enter and move it to trash.

I am a very, very new user of Alfred but wondering if it can help me with something I find really annoying. In Airmail I have to do four seperate “clicks" to empty the trash and return to the Inbox. (Click Trash>emty Trash>confirm empty>Inbox) Are there any Airmail users out there? If so is there a way in which I can get Alfred to empty Airmail’s Trash? Thanks.

I have a private workflow called 'Filters' with a bunch of different file filters, each scoped to one of my favorite folders. One filter that I would really like to add is a Trash filter; I just can't figure out how to tell Alfred to search my Trash I tried setting the Scope to ~/.Trash, and then I tried turning 'Show files marked as System File' on. Neither option provides any results. Am I missing something?

Hi there, If you are, like me, downloading lots of files (images, pdf, videos...) to your downloads folder but only use them once and then let them, you are probably quite angry each time you have to clean your Downloads folder ! That' why I've just created the Trash Downloads workflow that will allow you to clean this folder with nothing more than a shortcut ! This workflow is pretty simple : when you execute the action in Alfred, it will move all files in your Downloads folder to the trash. There is no selection of the files it will move, so make sure you have no important file that you want to keep before using this workflow. How to install ? Well, as usual you just click the download button at the end of this topic and then you double-click on the file that have been downloaded. This will import the workflow right in Alfred, and then you can immediately use it to clean your Downloads folder from the .alfredworkflow file that will be useless !! How to use ? This is pretty straightforward, as you would expect you have a keyword that will execute the action. Simply display Alfred and tap "throw", you will then have 2 options: - Press "Enter", this is the basic option that will move all the files in the Downloads folder to the trash. - Press "cmd+Enter", this option will do the same as the first one but will also empty the trash in the same action. Be careful while using this one because it will permanently delete the files contained in the Downloads folder and the files that were in the trash, and this can't be undone ! Simple workflow that will tidy up your current Finder folder but leave files with name extension MKV, AVI and SRT. If you'd like it to filter differently just edit script file. I use it to erase all unwanted files after unpacking a movie or TV-show. You should know that this is my first Alfred workflow, use at own risk. Please post helpful comments.
