  1. Ever heard a lyric in a song which you didn't understand the meaning of, or maybe did understand and wanted to confirm it? Ever been subjected to genius.com's horrible search field that searches by lyric before song title? Here's a simple solution. A gif is appended demonstrating the workflow in action. Other than the `genius` keyword, a shortcut (⌃⌥⌘L) can be used to the same effect. Workflow requires Python installed with Homebrew, Spotify and a working internet connection. ========= DOWNLOAD =========
  2. How To Use Keywords: - 'Open Tensorboard': Opens a Tab with your Tensorboard Web Interface (Tensorboard has to be running) - 'Close Tensorboard Session': Closes your Tensorboard Session File Action: - 'Tensorboard Server' (on Folder): Opens a Tensorboard Server with the selected folder as the '--logdir' parameter Download Current Version: DOWNLOAD (1.0.0) Git: gitlab.com/sirbubbls/alfred-tensorboard
  3. Hi everyone. I have a collection of custom web searches that I would like to execute using a hyperlink. This way I have a clickable solution to run it when presented with a reminder or am reviewing my notes. I could create a workflow with an external trigger, but it feels like a lot of added overhead to build and maintain for a simple mechanism. Is there a mechanism to trigger a specific Alfred custom web search via a hyperlink? e.g. "alfred://websearch (You need to check this today)"
  4. Awesome Lists This workflow lets you search for any awesome list on GitHub. The awesome lists searched can be found here. For more information, on how you can use the workflow, you can read the GitHub readme. In the future I want to make it so that you can go inside each of the awesome lists and view the links of all awesome lists inside Alfred. But this is a bit challenging I found so I am going to try it on Learn Anything Curated Lists first as they follow a very similar structure and I can use that to my advantage. Hope you like it. 5. Learn Anything This workflow lets you search for any topic on Learn Anything website. For more information, on how you can use the workflow, you can read the GitHub readme. Hope you like it. ? Code | Download
  6. With High Sierra running I am unable to search from the Alfred box. Google searches simply take me to the Chrome browser "home" page, offering me the Google search box. I have deleted and reinstalled Alfred 3 with no diff.
  7. I've managed various Facebook pages over the years (currently 3), and lately I've been wishing more and more to do some of that management via Alfred. This week I started hacking on it a bit, but I decided to work on a personal Facebook workflow first to get the feel for working with the Graph API, and then moving on to one for page management. I wanted to post about it here, just to see (a) if there was much interest in it besides for my own usage, (b) if so, what Facebooky things do you wish you could do via Alfred, either personal or page related? What's working now or will be shortly... Login to Facebook app. A regular (text) post to Timeline Link post to Timeline. Photo post to Timeline Post video to Timeline Upload photo to album Upload new video File action to upload photo to Timeline. File action to create new album with multiple photos. Other ideas I've had... List last n items I posted (posts, photos, videos) and open in browser. List my groups and open selection in browser. List my events and open selection in browser. List my friend lists and open selected list in browser. Search, narrowed by any of the above items. If anyone has ideas/suggestions about the best way to organize the different items below for easy access in a workflow, I'm all ears as well—there's a lot of options here, and I want to make sure it's as easy as possible to use quickly!
  8. Web Searches This workflow lets you open any web submission on the Internet. Such as quickly making a Reddit post to some subreddit, creating a new GitHub repo. Making a post on stack exchange forum and more. This workflow is an alternative to Alfred builtin web searches. I made it because I wanted to fuzzy search for the website I want to search on and I wanted something that the community can extend. This workflow achieves both these goals. You can extend the list of websites being searched for here and you can quickly select the website from a big list by simply typing where you want to search on. This workflow searches a big list of websites that can be found here similar to DuckDuckGo Bang operators. If you wish to extend it, you can do it. For more information, on how you can use the workflow, you can read the GitHub readme. Hope you like it. ? Code | Download
  9. Is there a way to export my custom web searches? I’ve set up a ton of them and need to wipe out the HDD.
  10. Packal: http://www.packal.org/workflow/safari-tech-preview-webkit Github: https://github.com/joeworkman/alfred-safari-tech-preview As a web developer, I love to use Safari Technology Preview. However, typing Safari in Alfred always drives me crazy becuase I have to choose which Safari I want to open. I developed this simple workflow so that I can now launch Safari Technology Preview by typing webkit or wk into Alfred. You can also pass an optional URL to the command. If you do the URL will be opened inside Safari Technology Preview. If no URL is passed, the application will simply be activated.
  11. Hey Everyone I'm trying to figure out if Alfred has a specific functionality. Like many of you, I do a crazy amount of email, and I'm constantly searching for something in a browser, copying the URL, and then pasting in an email client. My dream is something like MixMax (chrome + gmail plugin that allows '/' search), or the command+k shortcut in google docs (see image below), which works in any applications. My question - is there any way using Alfred, to enter a google search term, see the top 10 results, choose one, and then paste that URL, without ever leaving Alfred (and never opening a browser)? Thanks for any help! (PS - I understand that the example below is creating a hyperlink. It's just for illustration. I'm interested in pasting the actual URL in any context.)
  12. This is my first ever workflow that I shared with people. It is a simple list filter with a lot of different links to various websites for asking questions on stack overflow, creating threads on reddit and few more. Here is the repository with it and here is the download link. Description : a simple list filter for various online web submissions including asking questions on stack overflow creating threads on various subreddits on reddit asking questions on certain forums creating github repo / gist and any other web submission I personally use It all goes into one list filter and from there on you can filter with a set of prefixes. More specifically : s: prefix will filter for asking questions on any one of stack exchange sites. r: prefix will filter for creating new threads on various reddit subreddits f: prefix will filter for asking questions on various forums like Alfred Forum g: prefix will currently allow you to quickly create new repository or new gist w: prefix is for all other websites like creating new hacker news thread or new codepen I kind of wish that list filter would allow the same fuzzy matching that file filters provide. That is in file filter, this matches : That is I can kind of skip the dot and go straight to what comes after. Same with semicolons. In List Filter, this doesn't work. That is if I have these few entries prefixed with w : I can't do this : Nothing gets matched. Aside from this, I am pretty happy with the workflow, hope some of you will find some use out of it too.
  13. Hi can anyone help me create a web search that works in Alfred with the following website: classicstoday.com Much appreciated. Thanks.
  14. I've created a small workflow that automates something that I've find myself doing very often: copying a website as an HTML hyperlink text and pasting it into the footnote of my notes to track my sources. Simply type copylink (hyperlink), copylinkmd (Markdown) or copylinktxt (Textile) to see a list of open browser tabs (currently for Chrome and Safari only). Then, select one to copy the title of the page linked to the URL. Download v1.5 | Github See Github page for release notes. Hope you'll find it useful. Let me know of any bugs or feedback below. — Charlie
  15. So I was using Bing, which was its own issue, but now it's my default Alfred web search. I've disabled it in the preferences, but it still shows up. Is there anyway to get rid of it?
  16. it seems workflow support neither pac file nor https , even not allow me to set a port of a host file. i hope i can use the auto proxy by a pac file which is configged by system network setting.
  17. I wonder if there is a chance to get a web interface or at least an API for Alfred Remote. This would allow other devices than iPhones and iPads as Remotes. In my case, I have a very old Android Tablet beside my iPad and it would be great to use both devices as remote. Thanks Tobias
  18. Just wanted to bubble up a new post to let you know I just updated my DuckDuckGo workflow from over a year ago to support the new (and lovely) DuckDuckGo Next. This is still a mod of David Ferguson's awesome Google Suggest Workflow. The only difference is that it uses DuckDuckGo Next to do the actual search. More details over on the candler blog. Download Google Auto Complete to DDG Next.zip DuckDuckGo Next actually has autocompletions, but I wouldn't know how to get those into the Alfred workflow yet. For now the autocompletions still go through Google Suggest. Here's a vintage screenshot: Enjoy and happy searching!
  19. IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT HANGING PROCESSES ON SIERRA (2017-04-03) Versions of Alfred-Workflow older than 1.25 cannot launch background processes properly on Sierra. In fact, they regularly hang quite dramatically and consume 100% CPU Users (in particular) affected by this bug should install and run this workflow, which can find and fix any workflows with broken versions of Alfred-Workflow. The workflow library for Python GitHub | Documentation A feature-rich library for developing Alfred workflows in Python The library is simple to install, has no external dependencies, is very well-documented and maintained, and boasts an eye-wateringly high feature-to-size ratio at under 400 KB. It is the only Python library that is always up-to-date with Alfred's features. Main features Supports all Alfred features from 2.0 to 3.6. Catches, logs and notifies users (and developers) of errors in Workflows. No more confusing, silent failure. Super-simple, yet powerful data caching (e.g. from a web service) and storage, including session-scoped data. Easy-to-use Workflow settings API. Supports Alfred's AppleScript API, including saving settings to info.plist and calling External Triggers. Keychain access for secure storage (and cross-machine syncing) of sensitive data, like passwords and API keys. Tunable and understandable Alfred-like fuzzy search (e.g. got matches Game of Thrones as well as Baby Got Back. Or not: that's up to you.) Extremely lightweight, but full-featured, HTTP library with Requests-like interface, but just 12 KB instead of > 2 MB. Convenient access to standard macOS icons, for high-quality, familiar icons without adding size to the library. Also available via proper English. Pre-configured, built-in logging to enable simpler Workflow debugging. Painlessly run (update) scripts in the background without blocking your workflow, so you can still show "old" results while fetching new ones. API for running AppleScript/JXA scripts. Simple support for 3rd-party libraries your Workflow relies on. "Magic" arguments to make developing/debugging Workflows so much easier, especially when helping less technically-inclined users. With "magic" arguments, you and your Workflow's users can open the Workflow's log file in Console.app, its cache and data directories in Finder, and its root directory in Finder or Terminal from the comfort of Alfred's query box. You can also delete the cache/data/settings if something is corrupted. Your workflow can update itself via GitHub releases. Smart handling of non-ASCII. Query sale will match result salé, but query salé will not match result sale. Functions to support migrating settings/data from older versions of your workflow. Alfred 3-only features Workflow variables Advanced modifiers Alfred 3-only updates Re-run Script Filters And as you can see from the above links, there is extensive documentation, including a two-part tutorial on building a Workflow from scratch. Examples Here are a few examples of how you can do some pretty cools stuff in just a few lines of code. A simple Workflow I made to search Packal in ~90 lines of code. A simple Workflow to search your recent Pinboard posts in ~50 lines of code. A polished, user-friendly, wicked-fast Workflow to search your recent Pinboard posts in ~200 lines of code. Remember, each of these Workflows also has—for free—full error-catching and -logging support, and the ability to open its log file (which contains all errors) via Alfred's query box. No need to ask users to grub around in ~/Library or flounder in Terminal here. This is not the Workflow library 2014 deserves, but it's the one it needs Feedback If you have any bug reports/feature requests, add them either here or on GitHub. More info The documentation is the definitive source of information on the Alfred-Workflow library. The User Guide and Tutorial provide fairly extensive information both on how to use Alfred-Workflow and write Workflows in general (if you're new to this lark).
  20. I've created a Alfred 2 workflow for remotely inspecting an iOS device by name using Safari's remote web inspector. You can view the source and download on GitHub.
  21. Web Server Easily start a web server and add files to it (v 1.3.6) ------------------------------------------ Update 1.3.6: - Port number wasn't copying to clipboard when checking the IP Address. Update 1.3.5: - New and Better IP addresses checker. My Thanks and Credits to Shawn Rice. - Now php.ini and index.php files are hidden as well. - Fixed some other bugs. I hope the initial setup works properly now. Update 1.3.4: - Uploads won't overwrite existing file with same name anymore. - Moved user defined port file to Workflow data storage. Update 1.3.3: - Auto-refresh page after upload is completed! - New notification banner saying "Upload Completed". Yay. Update 1.3.2: - Upload feature revamped. Now you can Drag and Drop files and then upload You can even rename them before uploading. - It seems PHP has upload and memory limit. So uploading big files wasn't working. Hopefully everything works now. Or at least 2GB files. Update 1.3.1: - HUGE mistake. Sorry. The last update wasn't copying the new files to the Server folder. Update 1.3: - Added ability to Upload files - Now you can check your Local and External IP addresses - Set the Server Port number to any Port you want Update 1.2.1: - ***CRITICAL*** Fixed huge typo bug. The server wouldn't stop if your local IP address didn't start with "10" Update 1.2: - Fixed an issue with the File Action "Add Files to Web Server". Update 1.1: - Changed Server folder location to Workflow Data storage. (Thanks, Shawn) - Added Readme content. ------------------------------------------ Requirements: - Mavericks or any prior OS X with PHP 5.4 Description: The default server's port is set to 21025. To access the web server folder, open your browser and go to your local IP address at the mentioned port. Example: "10.0.1.5:21025" You can access your Web Server folder from any computer in the same network. If you want people from outside your local network to be able to access your Web Server folder, you have to clear the port in your router's settings (Google "port forwarding"). After clearing the port, use your external IP address instead of your local IP address. Example: "179.233.196.211:21025" Also, the Web Server allows you or people who are accessing it to upload files, as long as the file is an allowed extension. This limitation is for security purpose. Instructions: + Keywords: - "server": Lets you start the server (if it's not running) or stop the server (if it's running). - "server open": Open the Web Server folder. This is where you put the files you want to share. - "add": Copy files selected in Finder to the Web Server folder. - "server ip": Check what's your Local and External IP address. - "set port": Set the Web Server port number to any port within the valid range of 0 and 65535, so long as it doesn't conflict with an already assigned port. + File Action: - "Add Files to Web Server": Copy selected files to the Web Server folder. 22. A simple file filter to search all bookmark (keyword web) and web browsing history (keyword hist) files accessible to Spotlight. Why use this instead of the default Alfred functionality? Well: More targeted search, less clutter in default results. Smarter search: History search searches the URL, bookmark search ignores it; JavaScript bookmarklets are excluded from bookmarks searches. Searches bookmarks in Pinboard.in / Delicious accounts registered with Delish and Webbla, including tag search (Webbla, needs OpenMeta enabled, Delish works out of the box). If you’d like the workflow to support more browsers and bookmark / history formats, please attach an example of a pertinent bookmark and / or history file to this issue. As usual, repo is here, direct download there. Updates: Version 1.0.0 hotfix 2013-10-23 – fixes Alleyoop updating (you need to redownload), workflow file renamed Version 1.0.1 2013-10-25 – update for final Mavericks tagging scheme
