  1. Hello everyone! I wanted to attempt to create a workflow that does the following: Open a specific Google Chrome profile, wether or not google chrome is already open or not. I have tried this just in a bash script and never got the results I wanted..... This is what I was working off of: open -a Google\ Chrome --args --"profile-directory"="Profile 1 also tried /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --args --profile-directory=Default This is where i posted my original question: http://superuser.com/questions/759535/open-google-chrome-specific-profile-from-command-line-mac/759644#759644 So has anyone done this before, or have any ideas on how to create this into an alfred workflow? Thank you!
  2. Hello there. To build cleaner workflows I needed to use some of the new fields found in Alfred 3.4.1 and 3.5. I usually use the fantastic package from Joe Tannenbaum to build my workflows but it's not updated and its fluent api is starting to show its limitation with the new nested fields. So I build my own. I started using it to build the v2 of my Alfred Time package and I'm quite pleased with it so I'm thinking, if you need to build workflows that handle the new nested field, you might want to have a look at my workflow. If not, Joe's package might have a nicer API. https://github.com/godbout/alfred-workflow-php Have fun, and be productive with Alfred!
  3. Hello! I've updated Alfred KAT, and it's now wayyyyyyy faster (like 5 times). You can download torrents easily while avoiding all the popups. It's on Packal and GitHub. Packal: http://www.packal.org/workflow/alfred-kat GitHub: https://github.com/godbout/alfred-kat/releases Have fun!
  4. Only tested on a MAC/Big Sur 11.6.3 1. Select some text, 2. press the keyboard shortcut (CMD+4 in example), and 3. CR/LF characters will be removed from text 4. the result will go to the clipboard 5. use CNTRL V to paste in in Obsidian. https://github.com/smile4yourself/Alfred_Obsidian_CR-LF/blob/main/Remove CR:LF's from selection.alfredworkflow Donald Chandonnet
  5. Hi there, I am looking for recommendation for MacOS 12.4 Visual Studio Code and Jetbrains Rider workflow that can help me increase my productivity. Is there any?
  6. Hello again. I'm rebuilding my own Alfred-Time Workflow (use Toggl and/or Harvest with Alfred) and I started developing some PHP packages to ease the development of Alfred Workflows in PHP. Last week I've released Alfred Workflow ScriptFilter that allows you to create a ScriptFilter output. This week I've worked on handling configuration settings. I think it's quite nice when we developed a Workflow not to bother spending time on things that are common to a lot of them. So if you use PHP and need to store some config, you might want to have a look at the package I've made. Here's the GitHub link: https://github.com/godbout/alfred-workflow-config Currently it's tailored for my needs. For example there's no feature to delete a config file. If you need stuff like that, you can open an issue on GitHub or we can talk about it here. I'll see how I can extend usefully. Happy productivity!
  7. Hey all - my first ever contribution to an online forum πŸ™ƒ Had to be the one I've gained a ton from - thanks y'all! Modern Cuteness Alfred Theme πŸ‘ΎπŸ’˜ [Spring 2022]
  8. hi. a shameless fork of Alfred AirPods Connector (https://github.com/mariuskiessling/alfred-airpods-connector). i had to change the icons, really, i had to. also i like to have different keywords for connecting and disconnecting, so here we go. Doc, screenshots, releases on GitHub: https://github.com/godbout/alfred-airpods-connector Release on Packal: http://www.packal.org/workflow/alfred-airpods-pro-connector enjoy! β˜€οΈ
  9. another fork: https://github.com/godbout/alfred-airpods-pro-battery the original Workflow doesn't work for me (wrong arguments; left ear gets right ear data and right ear gets nothing). currently only available on GitHub. will put on Packal later... :))))))
  10. If you run the command shown in the picture as Alfred, the osascript -e 'tell app "System Events" to restart' command won't work. Is there any way to solve this problem? Thank you in advance πŸ™
  11. Hello Folks, I've created a simple workflow for your Better discord, If you don't already know about Betterdiscord, It's an app that enhances the user experience of discord by letting you choose/create themes or even plugins for your discord and this workflow helps you select out of thousands themes/plugins with simple commands. Hope you like it, also if you've anything to add to this workflow you're more than welcome to drop your suggestions, Check the repo in github if you're interested in downloading the workflow: >> https://github.com/Crushoverride007/betterdiscord.alfredworkflow
  12. I've rewritten my Alfred-Time workflow so that it's more easily extensible, and better tested. Currently it works with the Toggl and Harvest services. You can start, stop, or continue a timer, choose a project and a tag if necessary. With version 2.0 it's one service or the other though. The previous version allowed to use both services at the same time. I personally don't use that anymore, and it was a pain to maintain. If you still need that functionality, you can still use the previous version. I'm planning to add new services. It's very basic (even more basic than the previous version). Just start, stop or continue. No more delete, no more cache bullshit. There's some ideas in the queue like enable/disable tags (or choose a default one), but nothing done yet. I use the workflow daily and it works fine (for me). If it does help you, enjoy! GitHub: https://github.com/godbout/alfred-time/releases Packal: http://www.packal.org/workflow/alfred-time-v2
  13. I'd like to know how to modify the code in order to place the currently entered search word at the bottom of the autocomplete list. Thank you in advance! πŸ™ import sys from workflow import web, Workflow def get_dictionary_data(word): url = 'https://ac-dict.naver.com/koko/ac' params = dict(frm='stdkrdic', oe='utf8', m=0, r=1, st=111, r_lt=111, q=word) r = web.get(url, params) r.raise_for_status() return r.json() def main(wf): import cgi; args = wf.args[0] wf.add_item(title = 'Search Naver Krdic for \'%s\'' % args, autocomplete=args, arg=args, valid=True) def wrapper(): return get_dictionary_data(args) res_json = wf.cached_data("kr_%s" % args, wrapper, max_age=600) for items in res_json['items']: for ltxt in items: if len(ltxt) > 0: txt = ltxt[0][0] wf.add_item(title = u"%s" % txt , subtitle = 'Search Naver Krdic for \'%s\'' % txt, autocomplete=txt, arg=txt, valid=True); wf.send_feedback() if __name__ == '__main__': wf = Workflow() sys.exit(wf.run(main))
  14. Hi everyone, so Alfred’s Universal Actions feature has been out for the last few months. How have y’all been using it? Share your workflows For me: I use it to open save snippet, without having to go into Alfred preferences I use it to perform text operations, like uppercase, lower case, json format, remove special chars, etc. Search things in a non-default browser Open file/folder with specific apps like VS Code etc Copying file paths or opening terminal in specific directory
  15. Hi! I just discovered this terminal application: https://hyper.is/ I find it appealing and I would like to change the default Alfred behaviour to this app. For example when I browse fΓΆr files in Alfred and press "Open Terminal Here". This seems to be editable in settings but I'm not sure what to write in the AppleScript section. See this little video to understand more what I want to achieve:
  16. It works with Script Editor, but not with Alfred. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me which part I need to modify. Thanks in Advance!
  17. For those who are interested I have created a workflow for running iOS shortcuts from Alfred using a spare iOS (12.0 or above) device (I use a second hand iPhone SE). Here is a short video I have published to Reddit: This workflow requires a Siri Shortcut to get a list of your shortcuts: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/f8dcbc7ac14f4d03b1fc3bcebf28b2f5 Once the workflow has been imported you will need to put your Pushcut Webhook Secret key into the "api" variable by typing !pushcutapi in Alfred and then type into Alfred !pushcutupdate and Helper shortcut will start to do it's job. Once the shortcut has run you should be able to access your shortcuts within Alfred like on my video above. It currently support 3 different modes. Using the keyword "pushcut" or keyboard shortcut: control+option+P will just run the shortcut and won't return any data. It's good for shortcuts like "Turn on the fan" Using the keyword "pci" or keyboard shortcut: control+option+I will ask you to select a shortcut and give it some input (input is optional), return the shortcut output in Large Type Using the keyword "pcd" or keyboard shortcut: control+option+D will ask you to select a shortcut and delay it. 5s , 5m , 5d ... Link to the workflow: https://mega.nz/file/6OxhjILb#N1ntqJIWfM539UdVVYq1gwfrnB6YmRfbbuc5hrA1Rl0 This is an unofficial workflow, I am NOT affiliated with Pushcut. This workflow requires: A spare iOS device (min iOS 12 and above, recommended iOS 13 and above), A subscription to Pushcut Automation Server, more info on the developer's website: pushcut.io Link to the wallpaper: http://getwallpapers.com/wallpaper/full/a/2/2/1516267-download-free-star-wars-star-destroyer-wallpaper-3554x1999.jpg Feel free to use and maybe improve this workflow. Update: ver 1.0.3: Making it clear that this workflow is using your Pushcut Webhook Secret instead of an API key (it can be found at Pushcut -> Account -> Webhook) Removed unnecessary update commands, now the only way to update the list of shortcuts is to type !pushcutupdate directly to Alfred. Added ability to copy shortcut output into clipboard, when using keyword "pcic" or the keyboard shortcut : Shift+Option+I Added ability to remove your list of shortcuts from the workflow with the keyword !rmshortcuts , in case if you wanted to export it for sharing. Fixed the !pushcutapi did not require argument.

  19. Hey guys, quick question. Is there any easy way to use an image from a URL as the icon for a script filter? I've been downloading about 50 compressed thumbnails everytime I use a script I've been writing. (extremely slow) Do you guys know of any easier way to get images from a URL as a script filter icon? Thanks
  20. Is there a way of setting up Alfred so that when I do a search for a contact using Alfred, that I can actually open the contact in the Contacts app? It currently give me the option to open it in Alfred, but I'd like the option to open the contact in the actual Contacts app. Thank you in advance! -Jim

  22. I really appreciate how the GitHub Desktop app makes it easy to open repositories with different tools, using different keyboard shortcuts: I'd find it really helpful if Alfred Workflows offered the same functionality, and in particular if this "Open Workflow folder in Finder" allowed me to right-click and choose to open with a specific app, i.e. Atom, TextMate, or some other editor. Of course it would also be great if keyboard shortcuts were supported too.
  23. I make many keyword-based Workflows and I would find it incredibly efficient to be able to quickly duplicate an object using ⌘-D. Currently I can hit ⌘-C and then ⌘-P (copy and paste), or right-click and choose copy and then right-click and paste: ...but many apps (like Sketch) support ⌘-D to duplicate the selected object or objects: This would greatly improve my efficiency.
  24. if you're into these kinds of kinky things, the Alfred 4 Help is now available in Dash (and the other OS equivalents). https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nu5pWXg (and if you're into building Docsets for Dash, you now have a PHP option here: https://github.com/godbout/dash-docset-builder) β˜€οΈπŸŒΏοΈ
  25. The missing feature on your macOS, to make your macOS great again by enabling toggling the visibility of any application via hotkey. It's especially useful when you work remotely without an external monitor. There're two things in this workflow: 1. To easily choose / switch the target application via Alfred File Filter 2. To show / hide the target application via pre-set hotkey I use this workflow so much and can't live without it, from coding, to video editing, to music mixing, to whatever software I've used. The main benefit of this workflow is that you could always summon your workplace via hotkey, and more conveniently, you could easily switch your workplace from A to B, using the same hotkey. Currently this workflow only supports one set of hotkey, while multiple hotkey is possible, personally I prefer focusing on only one app. Do one thing at a time, that's what I believe in. However, you could duplicate this workflow locally in your Alfred and change both the hotkey and the keyword of the file filter if you think that multiple workplaces is your thing ATM.
