  1. I have been looking for a long time for a way to simulate a keypad to be used for InDesign. So here is a script that can do just that. opt + 1 will give you opt + keypad 1 Here’s the download link.
  2. Greetings Alfred Community, First, thank you to Andrew and Vero for building and maintaining such a brilliant tool. Alfred is unfailingly the first app I load onto any new personal computer. I've been experiencing a small but persistent issue for a few months now: InDesign (.indd) files do not show up in search results. A few details to contextualize the issue: InDesign the *app* shows up — it is only .indd files that do not appear. All other Adobe filetypes and applications (Illustrator, .ai files, etc.) show up in default results. Other filetypes (PDF, EPS, etc.) in the same folder as an .indd file show up — just not the .indd file itself. Things I've tried: Updating to the latest versions of Alfred and Adobe. Clearing the Application Cache. Reconfiguring default results to locate .indd files. What I'm trying to accomplish: Resolve the invisibility of .indd files so I can call them up in Alfred's search bar just like any other file. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. In advance, thank you! — Justin
  3. This is a workflow I've just created to speed up exporting PDF's from Adobe InDesign. Specify keyword pdf with optional page number arguments (1-2, 3-18, 22) If no argument is specified all pages will be exported. PDF is exported to your Desktop for ease of access. You will also be prompted to choose your print PDF preset. Overall it is a much more fluid experience than the normal method of exporting. Saves me lots of time! DOWNLOAD
  4. I've noticed that Alfred does not see any text that I've copied/cut from Adobe Indesign CC. InDesign is passing info along to the OS clipboard, however, as I'm able to paste the text normally into other apps. InDesign is not set to be an ignored app in Alfred Preferences. Does Adobe have some funky relationship with the OS clipboard that prevents Alfred from seeing what Adobe InDesign is copying/cutting? Whether you were able to replicate it a second time by performing the same action: Yes. Many times. Daily. Include the Alfred version & build number you are using: v2.1 (218) Include your OS X version: 10.8.5
  5. Here's a little something I made to replace the preferences files of InDesign, after a crash and a reset of the preferences. You can read a little bit more about this problem on the Adobe Forum. You’ll just need to replace the path with the one where you store your backuped file in the script info. Download http://d.pr/f/am0h
