  2. I am currently using the latest buld of A4, along with the latest release of Catalina on my Macbook Pro. When i enter in the keyword to search for emails in Apple Mail, Alfred always shows only my fallback search options. I have taken the following steps to troublesheoot: - Deleted and reinstalled the workflow - Made sure i am on the latest release of Alfred and MacOS - Granted Full Disk Accesst o Alfred in the security settings - Double checked that my emails are showing up in spotlight search - Enabled 'search all file types' in Alfred ettings - Confirmed that the workflow is searching in the correct folder where my emails are saved When i head over to System Preference > Security and Privacy > Automation, I can see that Alfred has requested access to other applications such as Evernote, Fantastical, Music, System Events etc, but there is no mention of Mail or Notes on this preference pane. Could this be causing some issue? I am also having this very same issue when trying to search for my saved notes in Apple Notes. I was facing this issue in Alfred 3 on Mojave as well. I am not facing any issues with any other Workflows - I have various other workflows installed which are all working absolutely perfectly. Will greatly appreciate any spport on this.
  3. Hello, I can't seem to get Alfred to return the contents of Apple notes in the search results. It works fine with Spotlight. I have included ~library/containers/com.apple.notes in my search scope in Alfred. Is this a configuration issue or a known limitation of Alfred? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Tim
  4. Can someone help me with how I can create shortcuts for some formatting in Notes that the OS doesn't provide? For example, shortcut for bullet. I looked in Notes Help for available shortcuts, and bullet doesn't seem to have one Thanks!
  5. Hi, I want to build a workflow where I can export a specific note from the Mac App Notes to Evernote. For example: "nxp Important Class Notes 2" and it would export this note from Notes and import it to Evernote. I wasn't able to find anything like it here in the Forum. Though I found a AppleScript in another forum but, it seems that it doesn't work for Sierra. And I couldn't find the option to ask questions there. http://macscripter.net/viewtopic.php?id=45602 I should add that this is my first not basic workflow and I didn't script a thing in my life yet, but I'm hyped to try it! Though I'm clueless how to start... Do you got any suggestions? Thank you very much! Best regards André
  6. I'd like a workflow that can search Microsoft OneNote for Mac (notebooks, sections, pages) and possibly also create notes. Alternatively, how would I be able to build this myself?
  7. Sometimes you just need a place to edit some text quickly. Or, simply write a short note to store in the clipboard history (it actually works better than you think). That is where this workflow comes in handy. After you set a hotkey, you can select text and edit it on the Alfred command line. When you press enter, it will be placed into the clipboard. If you press <cmd> and enter, it will place it into the clipboard and the top most application. If you press <cmd> and enter, the text will be appended to the end of a selected text file. If you invoke the keyword “sp:” or if you press the hotkey without a selection, it will offer to put the clipboard as the text to edit. Press enter on the “clipboard” option and the contents of the clipboard will be copied to the Alfred command line for editing. Selecting a file in Alfred Browser, right arrow, and selecting "Set Note File" will save that file name to be used to append notes to the end of it. 8. The workflow searches through Notes (native on Mac) for a word or phrase both in titles and contents of the notes. The results are shown in the Alfred's bar. The recommended keyword for evoking the workflow is "notes". Enjoy! Search through notes Thanks to RodgerWW: http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/5364-search-notes-in-native-search-app/

  10. Hi, Okay, please forgive me for any mistakes I make here! This is my first, very basic, AppleScript workflow. It is probably terribly done and completely wrong, but I was proud and wanted to share it! It's very simple, just creates a note in the Notes app. It can either close immediately after or (by pressing alt) can leave the app open. I apologise if this workflow is a duplicate of someone else's, I couldn't find one by searching when I looked, as I wasn't originally planning on creating it myself! I was hoping somebody could give me some advice on extending the workflow to add a notification when successful. I wanted to display the contents of the note in the notification, but using {query} just results in a blank message! Any corrections, improvements and modifications are very welcome! 12. TaskPaper Actions Is intended to be a set of actions for TaskPaper. For the time being, it has only my previous actions ported but I will be expanding on this as time passes in order to further functionality. Included Actions Extended Notes; Time Tracking with TicToc Installation Either download the workflow from here or use AlfPT to install/update Usage Extended Notes Configuring this action is a simple matter of choosing your desired values and configuring the worklist variable. The variable is a list in the manner of: set workList to {{"note", "outline"}, {docPath:"/Users/pedro/Dropbox/Notes/", ext:"txt", appname:"nvALT"}, {docPath:"/Users/pedro/Dropbox/Outliner/", ext:"opml", appname:"Mindnode Lite"}} Breaking it down we have: Item 1 is a list of your tags. In my case I have “Note” and “Outline” Item 2 onwards is a list of records pertaining to each tag. So in the above example, item 2 is a list of the path where you place docs related to your Note tag and the extension of your Note tag (some may prefer txt, md, mmd etc.). Finally we have the app with which you want to open the note (must be apps exact name, correct caps and all) Item 3 pertains to tag outline. If you prefer more tags/document types then just expand on this. NOTE: If a document with the specified name doesn’t exist it will be created (Text file types only so far…) TimeTracking You need to have TicToc installed for this particular action. Before the first run it is important you customise the script with your preferred tags. @tictoc is the default “tracking” tag. The Value of this tag has to be the name of your task in TicToc. Take the following example: I would then have to have tasks in TaskPaper as: - Complete readme.md for script @tictoc(TaskPaper Timetracking) - Complete some random test @tictoc(test) NOTE: This is case insensitive so no need to be too fussy @running is the default for tasks being “tracked” After the first run you can set registered to true. It’s only needed on first run in order to register the script with Growl. Errors In this first version, the script will output errors in the following situations: Entry selected is not a task; Entry selected doesn’t have a tracking tag (@tictoc default); Tracking tag is either empty or it’s value doesn’t correspond to a task/event in TicToc Caveats Unfortunately Tictoc’s AppleScript support is still rather limited and therefor I have no way of telling if a task is being tracked/timed except by the @running tag. This means that if you start a task in TPM and then stop it in TicToc, I have no way yet of syncing those changes (updating @running tag in TPM) so therefore all starting and stopping should be done in TPM. It is also not yet possible to create new tasks/events in ticToc with AppleScript so they will have to either already exist or be manually created beforehand. You MUST configure TicToc to allow tracking of multiple tasks otherwise things will get confused real quick
