  1. Hi guys, this workflow lets you control your Parallels Desktop and VirtualBox virtual machines. I've tested it with Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac and VirtualBox 4, but older versions might work as well. 2. Hi all -- I use Alfred on an iMac that has a Parallels VM installed. I have a bunch of hotkeys that should never, ever run when I'm using an app in Parallels. As far as I can tell, my only option is to take all of my apps in /<home>/Applications (Parallels) -- all 134 of them -- and drag them into the "Related Apps" dialog for each and every one of those hotkeys. Then, if I ever install a new application in my Parallels VM, I need to drag *that* to the "Related Apps" dialog for each of those hotkeys, too. Is there an easier way to do this? Specifically: 1. Is there any way to tell a hotkey "don't activate for any app in this subdirectory?" 2. Failing that, is there any way to tell Alfred about a group of applications, and then set individual hotkeys not to activate if any app in that group is active? Frankly, I'd even settle for "make it so *no hotkeys at all* activate for any app in the Parallels VM" if that would make things simpler. ~ thanks! ~ =-Peter -- peter rogers @ home | http://www.peterrogers.info "Love is like oxygen." 3. When activating Alfred (latest version) and I search for an app that is in a Windows 8.1 VM via Parallels, there are duplicates for every app and one of them is broken - meaning selecting one fails with a "can't find" type message. I only have one VM so I'm not sure what the story is here. For example if I search for "Power" I get Powerpoint Powershell Powershell Powerpoint One of each of these will fail and it's a different one every time. Any help appreciated.
  4. Hi, I'm a new Alfred user and am really loving the program. I'm on v. 2.1.1 and am having an issue with Alfred not finding files at two locations of my Parallels installation (the same files are turning up in Spotlight searches). I've added the two folders to the Search Scope list under Default Results, but to no avail. I've also rebuilt my OS X metadata, but this hasn't helped either. My OS is Mavericks (v. 10.9.1). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Hey guys, workflow newbie here! I'd like to see if it's possible to open a file or folder using Alfred, passed through to the windows/parallels side with a key in. For example, I'd like to type "CPP" in Alfred and open a folder in windows explorer called "Central Polk Parkway" or type "PPM" and open a pdf called "Plans Prep Manual", again on the windows/parallels side. I can easily do this with a simple workflow on the mac side with finder but can I pass it thru parallels? I've searched the forums for my answer with no luck. Thanks for any help.
  6. Hi! I'm running the latest Parallels (9.0.23062) and Alfred Versions (2.0.9) on 10.8 with Parallels Win-Mac clipboard sync enabled. I'm using alfred since the early beta days and I'm really happy with it, except when it comes to the clipboard history and Parallels. I'm forced to use Notepad++ and Word 2010 a lot, so the following bug is really annoying and makes alfreds clipboard history almost unusable for my day to day work. Alfred doesn't correctly remember Parallels clipboard items, when I copy multiple items (e.g. strings) in Windows. When viewing the clipboard history, only the last item copied in Windows is available. If I copy multiple things, I have to open the clipboard history after every copied item so alfred remembers all items. In addition, Alfred always displays wrong icons beside parallels clipboard items. Alfred displays either the Alfred hat logo or the icon of a random Mac application (wrong icons don't bother me, but maybe it helps tracking down the issue as it seems to me that the problem is related to Alfred not being able to tell from which application clipboard items added by Parallels come from) This bug is present regardless of the guest Windows version, I've tried XP and 8, and regardless of the Windows application used. It also didn't work with older Alfred/Parallels versions. Please fix this!
  7. hi, i've 1Pwd for Mac installed on my Mac and 1Pwd for Windows installed on my Windows XP virtual machine (Parallels v.7). problem: Alfred is now offering me to log me in ONLY with 1Pwd for Windows while I haven't opened my Windows VM for a week! i can't log me in any more on websites on Mac OS X 10.8.4 tried to uncheck this option in Alfred, restarted Alfred and so forth but no way: Windows XP or nothing. please help thanks
