  2. I would like to be able to define a Direct Connect and a Bonjour Connection from my iPhone to the Same MAC. This allows a remote connection when my machine is home without having to delete it and reconfigure each time I take my Mac Book on the road.
  3. Update the remote application for iPad to incorporate iOS 11 features, mainly, split-screen support with "slide-over". Currently using Remote on my iPad Pro is awkward having to switch back and forth and the UI is giant. For now I keep Remote open on my phone next to my iPad but that means another piece of hardware I have to position. My use-case for this is I use AstroPad and Pencil on my iPad for my design apps on my macbook and being able to have Alfred in a quick slide-over window to switch apps, run scripts, etc would be the cat's meow! Anyone else find a need for this?
  4. I understand that I can copy the Open Apps examples, paste in my 3rd party apps and start them using the example workflow; What I don't understand is, what do I do with the apps from my remote after I have opened them. There is no keyboard interface that comes with the workflows so I can't edit the files I open in these apps; so why bother opening an app from my remote if I can't do anything with it after I open it??? I may seem to be as dumb as a post to you but I just don't get it. (at least not yet)(I haven't quit trying).
  5. I know there have been many discussions related to the topic & there is a clear statement from Alfred's mum that as they are only 2 people working on development they won't be able to create Android Remote. But I think I have a solution which involves very less or no coding. But it will be using a third-party app, Unified Remote. I was trying something recently and saw could do a lot of things using Unified Remote (Paid one) on my Mac for example launching the apps, launching the Spotlight, many more things. So I created a simple quick action thing, so when I click on it, it holds the option + spacebar and launches Alfred on my Mac. Then got the idea @Vero or someone from the community can build a remote in the Unified Remote app that can be used to control Alfred.
  6. This may have been posted, apologies if it is, but I feel like not having something like BetterTouchTool built into Alfred is a wasted opportunity! Being able to more granularly control and even mouse over things from my bed would rock, and I wouldn't have to invest in another app to do it.
  7. Anyone here with an Onkyo (or any other) receiver that would be interested in controlling the power, volume and other things with Alfred? I'm considering making a small workflow to control my receiver with Alfred since I usually use it to play music
  8. Hello guys, there is an app called Alfred Remote to use Alfred on your mac from your Iphone. I Would liek to do private website to control my macbook. So it would be great to use alfred with alfred Remote feature, but I dont know how. Is tehre any API or protocol so I can code my own client fot this project? Thanks for every idea
  9. My network at work is locked down and it has made it nearly impossible to connect the remote. If i could connect to the remote via USB it would be a game changer for me.
  10. I love the remote feature of Alfred. I use it to control Spotify, iTunes, and resize windows from my phone. The only thing that bothers me about it is that I have to unlock my phone and navigate back to the remote app to use it. This proves problematic, or at least inconvenient, when I am watching a movie and want to play/pause because someone came into the room, but it takes 15-30 seconds to get the app open. I would love to see a widget in the notification center of iOS that allows users to select remote buttons to display from any screen on their iPhone/iPad. Ideally, this would be resizable so one could have a single row (such as play/pause, vol+, vol-, mute) or multiple rows to control other things as well. This would be a swipe and a tap away rather than the current fingerprint (and passcode when it it doesn't work), swipe, tap the folder, tap the app, wait for it to load, tap the button. I think we can all agree on which option is better...
  11. I just try the remote. I paired with bluetooth. I works fine. I love this feature very much, because i´m often in the situation that there is no wifi, but i have to present some slices within keynote. The Alfred remote command works fine when i send the command to sleep the computer, but after that, my macbook pro won´t wake up, if i send a new command. Is this a know issue, or what do you know about it?

  13. Hello All, I'd like to setup an OPEN URL, to open 3 URLS at once, in 3 tabs. I can't seem to figure this out. I tried a , after each URL, no luck. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!
  14. When using the remote it would be great if notifications from workflows could be sent back. That way your computer can send you status updates and the remote gains a lot in functionality! Thomas
  15. Hi! I wanted to have 2 little buttons in the Alfred Remote App that allow me to increase and decrease the brightness of the Mac, basically like the F1 and F2 keys are supposed to do. Sometimes, the functionality of those keys is disabled - like in a fullscreen game. How do I go about this?
  16. I had report this bug by email. But I didn't got a response. I am using Alfred 3 now. My mac has a private ipv4 address (e.g. 10.0.0.1) and a public ipv6 address (e.g. 2001:db8::1). Now I can connect Alfred from my iOS device using ipv4 address. But I can’t use ipv6 address to connect to Alfred. (I tried using a domain name. I tried setting up a direct connection within Alfred.) I notice Alfred only listen to the ipv4 address. -------------update------------ It not a bug.
  17. I just installed Alfred 3 and purchased the Remote app for iOS. I have my iPad and iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network as my iMac. When I clicked on the Remote button in Alfred it let me click Add iOS Remote, and loaded a bunch of buttons on the OS X app. But the iOS app just sits and looks and looks for the OS X side, and never connects. I've tried on both the iPad and the iPhone, and neither will connect. Both are on iOS 9.3.2. The iMac is running OS X 10.11.6 Beta - might that be a problem? Thank you, Cyn
  18. What you were doing when the issue happenedI was trying to "Add iOS Remote" and an alert popped up in the Alfred settings pane. It says ""Alfred Remote Server needs to be running to add a new iOS Remote. Tick the "Enable Alfred Remote Server" checkbox to start Alfred Remote Server."" I notice that the message said "Tick", I wasn't sure if this was the right word for this action to fix the problem so this is why I am reporting it. Is it supposed to say "Click" instead of "Tick"? Whether you were able to replicate it a second time by performing the same actionYes, click Remote> Un-check the "Enable Alfred Remote Server" checkbox (if Enabled)> Add iOS Remote Include any screenshots that might help us Include the Alfred version & build number you are usingv3.0 [648] Include your OS X version 10.11.5 (15F34) Thanks
  19. Should Alfred Remote work with the new Alfred 3?
  20. Hi there! I'm trying to set up a Hide All script for the Remote, effectively hiding every app whose visibility is set to True and opening Home. So far it works every time with ScriptEditor, but when I put it on the System Command as a Open Script command, it works only slightly. Sometimes it just hides Messages, sometimes everything or sometimes it just doesn't care at all. I'm sure there's just something wrong with my coding/app/tech understanding. I'm using Murphy's HideAll tell application "Finder" set visible of every process whose visible is true and name is not "Finder" to false close every window open home end tell Hopefully some of you peeps know what's best.
  21. i recently downloaded alfred remote and i was exited about it ... but alfred remote cannot find alfred 2 , on iphone just showing wi-fi animation same as mac app, nothing happen at all .... in the past i used apps like LK Bridge for ableton live (Remotely control ableton live) or remote app for Playstation and i didn't have any problem with those apps... iphone 5: ip= 192.168.1.101 subnet mask= 255.255.255.0 router= 192.168.1.1 dns= 192.168.1.1 imac (osx yosemite 10.10.4) : IPV4 Address= 192.168.1.100 subnet mask= 255.255.255.0 router= 192.168.1.1 dns= 192.168.1.1 create new user and test? 22. Hi, I'm working in a "corporate environment" for my day job. The network admins in our company take their jobs very seriously and seem to dislike Bonjour a lot. This means getting both the phone and the Mac onto the same network is a pain and Bonjour is out of the question. I would like to kindly ask you to use the multipeer connectivity framework for the remote, which works fine in my environment. See: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2014-709/
  23. Hey all! Thus far I have figured out how to use Remote to control iTunes and how to use Alfred Remote to wake my Mac and then to launch iTunes, however the music will not start playing until I log in. I realise that I could disable to my password and it would work, but that is rather undesirable. If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it! Thanks
  24. Environment: Mac Mini: Yosemite OSx v10.10.5, Alfred 2 v2.8 app; Alfred Remote v1.1; iPhone 5S running iOS 8.3 SESSION: I have apps open on my Mac, e.g. iTunes, Notes, Chrome. I confirm that Alfred Remote is connected (e.g. I can open apps using the Remote App on my phone). Using the iPhone Alfred Remote App, I go to System Commands and press the "Quit All Apps" button. No apps are "quit" on the Mac (FAIL). EXPECTATION: When using the System Command "Quit All Apps", then all apps should be quit. It would be nice if even "some" apps were quit.
  25. Software versions: iOS - 9.0.1 OS X - 10.11 Alfred - v2.8 (414) Alfred Remote - v1.1 I am trying to use a clipboard snippet on Remote to send text from my iPhone clipboard to my OS X clipboard. It's not sending the clipboard from iOS, but just putting my OS X clipboard into the snippet on my OS X clipboard. The clipboard snippet: here is clipboard: {clipboard} I do the following: 1. Copy text onto iOS clipboard 2. Open Alfred Remote 3. Tap my clipboard action (called "Clipboard") 4. "Clipboard - OK" appears in the upper right 5. Paste on my Mac into Sublime text editor 6. I see my snippet with the previous Mac clipboard text inserted ("here is clipboard: previous Mac clipboard") Am I doing something wrong here?
