  1. NSC Workflow to convert numbers into other based systems. As a computer scientist student I deal everyday with binary, octal, hex and decimal numbers. Therefore I built this workflow with PHP for Alfred 1 and now I rebuilt it with Python for Alfred 2. Usage: 5 different keywords are used: decimal binary octal hex convert The first 4 act similar. You type the keyword (base of your number) and the number you want to convert. Alfred will show you the same number in the other 3 systems. You can select one of them and copied to your clipboard. To convert from or into another system beside these four, you use the keyword convert. Then you type your number, the base of your number and the base of the destination. NSC will display the decimal notation and the new number.   2. Hey girls and guys, I just finished the rewrite of my old ASCII Converter extension. With this workflow you can convert a string of characters into their ASCII code values and vice versa. You can convert from and to hexadecimal, binary and decimal. The results will be displayed as soon as you run the workflow and copied to your clipboard when you press enter. You can either enter a string or just use your clipboard content.   3. I am trying to use a custom binary in a Script Filter. So far, there is only one issue: When I activate the script filter, the binary is called. If I close Alfred before the binary process terminates, that process begins to steal all of my RAM, as if in an infinite loop. Normally, it runs around 500KB of RAM for a split second; when improperly terminated, it will take up to 2GB until I quit the process with Activity Monitor. My script filter contains this code: ./binary "#{query}" How can I prevent the process from going haywire every time Alfred closes before the execution completes? (I do have access to the source code, if needed.)
