  1. Could an optional "Paste and remove from history" hotkey be added to Alfred's Clipboard History feature? Sometimes I work with sensitive information that I want to pop off the clipboard history when pasting. Launchbar has this feature in its clipboard history and I've found it very handy. If I'm copying some sensitive information around, I just paste with ⌃⌥⌘V (my chosen hotkey) and know the information will be removed from the clipboard history as it's pasted. I'm aware items can be deleted manually from the clipboard history using fn+delete, but clearing out items manually is tedious and much easier to forget to do. In the meantime, is there possibly a workaround possible within Alfred? For example, can a workflow manipulate the clipboard history? If I could connect my ⌃⌥⌘V hotkey to a workflow that pastes and then removes the top entry of the clipboard entry, it could serve as a workaround. Apologies if this feature has already been discussed/requested. I did some searching and didn't find this specific feature request.
  2. I'd like to create a workflow that I can trigger from a selection the clipboard history viewer. Here's what I've tried: I've set up a workflow using a Hotkey trigger with the argument set to macOS Clipboard Contents, but that is using the contents of the system clipboard, not the selection in the clipboard history viewer. I've used {clipboard} in a Copy to Clipboard output, but that will only use the last item that was copied into the history. I see that I can use {clipboard:x} to target a particular entry in the clipboard viewer, but I'm not sure how to pass in the currently selected item as an argument. Is there any way to reference the currently selected item in the clipboard history viewer from within a workflow?
  3. (I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or if I'm just missing some configuration option. Apologies if this is the wrong place to file this.) Since upgrading to 1Password 8 and its newer Safari extension, I've noticed that passwords I copy from the Safari extension's popup using the "copy" button appear in my Alfred clipboard history. I am used to items from 1Password always being hidden from the clipboard history for security reasons. However, the copy button from the new extension does not get this same protection. Is there any way to get these clipboard items to be hidden as well? I am running 1Password 8.8.0, 1Password for Safari 2.3.7, Alfred 5.0.1, and macOS Ventura 13.0 Beta (22A5311f). (Although I believe I noticed this problem before installing the Ventura beta, when I was still on Monterey.)
  4. Clipboard History OCR for Alfred Make images in Alfred's clipboard history searchable by their text content. This post might be outdated: up-to-date readme. Download the latest release. Alfred's clipboard history includes images too. However, there's no way to search through them. For example, in the screenshots below, are two images in the clipboard history, but the only "searchable" information about them is dimensions and size. This tool runs OCR every time an image is copied to clipboard, and makes the image searchable using that text. Setup Download the latest release.Type .clipboard-history-ocr-installDone! Uninstall Run .clipboard-history-ocr-uninstall in Alfred.Delete the workflow from Alfred. 5. Hi there, I'm new to Alfred's wonderful workflow routine and would like to create a workflow that combines my clipboard entry in Mac OS with a URL string. So far, so good. The tricky part where I would ask you for an idea is that my clipboard entrys of that specific case always got a tail like this lorem-ipsum-tra-la-la 12345 where a tab and a number is copied into the clipboard that I don't need for the workflow. So my question is: What would be an easy way to get rid of the hidden tab and the number at the end? Is this maybe build into Alfred and I've not noticed it or do I need a text manipulation bash or python script to do the work here?
  6. I have Alfred as my major clipboard history app. However, the font size is a little smaller for me and it is too hard to see what I am choosing. Would you make the fonts a little larger? I used to use Paste for clipboard and its size is great.
  7. My Alfred4's Snippets and Clipboard History need to be pasted after selecting a item. Generally items are pasted as soon as we select them. But my Alfred4 needs to additional pasting(Cmd + v). Any idea?
  8. I know people have requested image support in the clipboard history feature in Alfred. That would be great, but I would really like to see support for maintaining text formatting (rich text) in the snippets and clipboard history. As of now all text is converted into plain text in the history and snippets. It would great if formatting were not lost.
  9. For links that appear in Alfred's clipboard history, with this workflow: You can search using the title of the link (in addition to the URL) You can see a thumbnail of the link Usage instructions: Open alfred Type ".setup-clipboard-link-thumbnailer" (without the quotes) To go through links on clipboard, use the keyword "cliplinks", or set up a hotkey in the workflow. Download: Clipboard Links.alfredworkflow Example screenshot: What's not yet implemented (and is not very likely as I don't need these features): Link deletion Auto link deletion for links older than certain time (the way clipboard history does) Anyone who can program can implement these quite easily, and I'd be glad to accept patches: source code Privacy and other Qs: Q: Are these links sent somewhere to obtain screenshots? A: No. Screenshots are taken locally (see source code). Q: What kind of screenshot do I get for pages that are accessible only after a login? A: The same as if you opened that link without logging in. Q: What if I want some links to be ignored? A: Not presently possible, and not likely to be implemented by me as I don't currently need it. Q: What if I want all links copied from a certain app to be ignored? A: Add the app to "Features > Clipboard History > Advanced > Ignore Apps" in Alfred's preferences. (see screenshot below)
  10. Now,when copy file , clipboard history only display and paste as filename. I think it should still be treated as a file
  11. when active item and press backspace, item can be deleted when select
  12. I have a workflow where I copy 6 different lines of text and then paste them into 6 different browser fields. I am trying to write an Alfred workflow using Applescript to do this for me automatically. Therefore I need to copy the six different lines of text, invoke the workflow, so that it: Invokes the Alfred clipboard history viewer. Paste the sixth entry. Tabs to the next field. Repeats.... I have this script so far which invokes the Alfred clipboard history viewer, but the next "System Events" line in which command-6 keyboard shortcut is executed still targets the browser....and not the Alfred clipboard history viewer prompt window: tell application "System Events" keystroke "v" using {command down, option down} end tell tell application "System Events" keystroke "6" using {command down} end tell I tried targeting the app itself "Alfred 4" like below, but it does nothing: tell application "System Events" keystroke "v" using {command down, option down} end tell tell application "System Events" tell application "Alfred 4" to activate keystroke "6" using {command down} end tell Can someone help? Thank you!
  13. I would just like to know if the following would be possible within a workflow or if I would need to use some external program as well: I want to set up hotkeys that will paste clipboard item 1, 2, 3, etc.. the only difference is I would like the pasted content to be selected when it is pasted. Why? I would effectively be able to scroll through the recent clipboard history inline. I wouldn't matter if I accidentally paste clipboard item 3 when I wanted #2 because by clicking the hotkey for clipboard Item 2 that would take its place. Basically a 'soft' paste function. Default: Three key presses Hotkey1, Hotkey2, Hotkey3: CI #1 CI #2 CI #3 Pastes three items What I want: Three key presses Hotkey1, Hotkey2, Hotkey3: CI #1 CI #2 CI #3 Pastes last item only. Sorry if I'm being redundant just trying my best to be clear. Thank you!
  14. I think that it would very useful to have a glance of your recent search history at once and if needed, then for example press the spacebar to show/hide the preview pane. Also it would be nice to be able to resize the history window to see more/less content at once. I think the UI of Copied is very nice and useful since you can change the amount of clips to be shown.
  15. Hello everyone, is there a way to delete the last Clipboard entry in Alfred? I'm currently using Keyboard Maestro to select the last word, capitalize it and paste it back. The Problem there is that it manipulates the Alfred clipboard so that i have the entry twice. Like there stands "test" and "Test". I would like to delete those. Cheers, Frozen
  16. Hi! Right now, if I copied something to the clipboard and I want it not to expire, I have to go into the snippets preferences, add a new snippet etc. I'd like Alfred to have a predefined "Pinned" snippets list and to be able to add items to it by using a keyword/shortcut on a selected item in the clipboard history. Of course these items would have no "keyword".
  17. Hello everyone, it would be pretty cool if it would be possible to select multiple Files, Clips or whatever from the Clipboard history and paste it. For instance: I would have copied a few files and wanna paste them. Here is an example: If i could now just press Shift+Arrow down to select multiple items and then just paste them that would be awesome If there is another way then lemme know, but else this would be decent to have. Another addition to that would be the ability to change the Shortcut for adding files to the file buffer. Something like ⌘+C and ⌘+V would make the file Buffer/Navigation even better Cheers, Frozen
  18. Hey everyone. I'm inquiring about Clipboard History functionality when using Windows 7/10 via Parallels Desktop (maybe applies to others, but this is my specific use case). The feature works perfect on the Mac side (High Sierra 10.13), but when I try to use it in Windows, it pastes the letter "v". I then have to delete the "v" and then manually paste to get the correct value. In order to get rid of the "v" issue, I have to deselect "Auto paste on return" in Advanced settings. I would prefer to have this option on/selected. In Parallels (current and last several versions) I have the keys mapped so that COMMAND+V is equal to CTRL+V, so it *should* work if Alfred is automating the key press, but I'm not sure if that's what is actually happening. Any suggestions or clarifications to help solve my issue?
  19. I'm just now toying with Alfred + Powerpack after living in LaunchBar for many years… taking a bit of getting used to, but am loving Clipboard History with Snippet search integrated! However, I have a couple of Fluid SSBs that are pinned to my Menu Bar, in which copied text doesn't show up in my history. I wondered whether this is because they're 'headless' (no icon in Dock) but I can copy out of TextExpander (with Dock/app icon hidden) and see it in Alfred clipboard history… any enlightenment appreciated!
  20. Alfred 3.4 (847). Alfred's clipboard history doesn't respect the org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType UTI. When the pasteboard has data set for the above UTI, clipboard history managers should not record the pasteboard data.
  21. I've been trying to figure out for a while now (a few days) and it has been eating me up. How does one create a workflow that can allow, with a keyboard shortcut, the pasting of multiple items from the clipboard? Ideally, I would be able to copy several items to my clipboard, and then with some shortcut, be able to post all the clippings from the last 5 minutes? But, it would also be really awesome if I could open the clipboard viewer, and with the "Shift" key held down and navigating with arrows, be able to select multiple ones to past in. I've been searching the forums, and I think I might just not be searching the right terms, or no one has done this. I think I still have alfred 2, so these {clipboard:1}, {clipboard:2} things aren't in the recognized coding language parameters (made up that combo of words, pardon me) If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, or can help me to find something like this, PLEASE HELP ME. AHHHH...
  22. Hi there, I love the Clipboard History feature pretty much, but what's missing for me is an option to clear the history on restart of the computer. Maybe this option could be implemented in one of the upcomuing releases? Or at least we could have a 'presist for' option less than 24 hours? Cheers, Michael

  24. * What you were doing when the issue happened Activate Total Terminal - http://totalterminal.binaryage.com/ - the terminal slides down. Then activate the clipboard history with the keypress. The history search steals the focus from terminal and so Total Terminal slides back up. Even if you select an item from the list it is not pasted into the terminal. Quicksilver, which lacks the ability to search the history, works fine with Total Terminal. It's somewhat important for my clipboard history to work with my terminal environment. * Whether you were able to replicate it a second time by performing the same action Yep. * Include any screenshots that might help us Not necessary. * Include the Alfred version & build number you are using v2.1 (218) * Include your OS X version 10.7.5
