  1. I have a bunch of Custom Web Searches and would like to publish them online and make it easy for people to install them. I have some ideas on how I might go about doing this, but it seems like it'll be pretty inefficient for others to install them in a batch. I don't suppose there's an easy way to import or export all of your custom web searches? Additionally, I like adding custom icons to each search... but when I copy the URL for sharing, the icon is left out. There's no way to fix that (i.e. binary encode the image in the sharing URL) is there?
  2. I previously shared a directory of nearly 200 Custom Web Searches that I maintain. I've continued adding more searches to it, along with custom icons to accompany the searches. Up until now, however, I hadn't done the same thing for the web searches that come pre-installed in Alfred. I decided that I didn't like the look of the default icons (several of them are outdated), so I created a free set of 20 starter icons to replace them! Download the 🎩 20 Starter Web Search Icons Since Alfred doesn't let you modify the pre-installed web searches, you'll need to install redundant searches and then apply the icons to the replacement searches. There's an enclosed README in the download that includes instructions and links to quickly complete this process. Enjoy!
  3. After exploring @deanishe's great Searchio Workflow, @nikivi's Web Searches Workflow, and asking for tips on how to best share my many Custom Searches, I decided to launch a simple website with a listing of my Custom Searches, along with icons that I'm making for each one. There are 57 searches so far, I have another 33 that I'm working on, and you can also submit your own suggestions! Would love to know if you find this valuable! Visit Alfred Custom Searches
  4. Thought it was a slight missed opportunity that OpenSearch isn't supported here!
  5. I lost my Alfred prefs when my drive died. I am trying to restore my custom searches from Dropbox but that was overwritten when I re-installed Alfred and I can't find deleted versions on Dropbox because it reads the preference file as a folder not a single file. I have external backups from an old Time Machine drive but when I try to copy these to Dropbox/alfred folder and restart Alfred nothing changes.
  6. Hey all, I'm a Powerpack user with v.2.0.1 running on my Retina Macbook Pro (OS X 10.8.3). Quick question --> where's the migration tool to transfer custom searches (etc.) from v1 to v2 located? I can't seem to find it anywhere in Alfred preferences. Here's a shot of my 'General' menu: http://db.tt/vDNGz2UK Thanks, Zach Kahn
  7. Just a minor bug. I've noticed that custom searches won't work if you don't prepend the url scheme (eg. http://) to it. Btw, I'm using Chrome as my default browser.
