  1. Hi all, so I want to make custom search for multiple argument and I need help. I use Alfred v3 with powerpack, doesn't have many experience with programming. The argument is for example: search keyword minimum price condition (used or new) So when I type keyword and the argument separated by comma it will search to several website that I have registered. Example: User input aaa, bbb, ccc Will search: website1.com/xxx=aaa&yyy=bbb&zzz=ccc website2.com/xxx=bbb&yyy=aaa&zzz=ccc website1.com/xxx=ccc&yyy=bbb&zzz=aaa so on (the structure for each website is different) condition: If input only aaa, not bbb or ccc, dismiss argument for bbb & ccc If input olly for aaa & bbb, dismiss ccc. The condition (new/used) is different for each website, so need to change from the given keyword to wach website format. Hope it is clear enough. What is the best way to do it? Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Is there a way to export my custom web searches? I’ve set up a ton of them and need to wipe out the HDD.
  3. I'm using version 2.8.6 (441). I want to modify some of the built-in web searches, and there appears to be no way to do this. Specific use case: I want to modify the "amazon" search so that it searches smile.amazon.com instead of www.amazon.com. I can't do this (that I can see). I consider this a bug. The workaround is rather tiresome: I must add a new custom search (figuring out the search URL myself), disable the default one, and dig up the right graphic for the custom search. Then forever afterward I will have the built-in search cluttering up my list of searches.
  4. Hello! I love that everyone is sharing themes, and some of them are really great. It has inspired me to make my own, and subsequently share here today. It's my first one shared, so I hope you enjoy it! I modeled the palette off of the image behind it, so they are paired in a sense. You can find the image here. http://i.imgur.com/BVmUFu0.jpg You can download the theme here... http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=02871216674990017755 Please let me know what you think. I'd be happy to model a new theme off of an image if you have a request. Thank you!
  5. Is there anyway to change the command-o option from using the Mac Contacts App? I'm using another app (BusyContacts) as my primary contact app and would like to launch it if I seach for a person and want to "Open in Contacts".
  6. Hi, Alfred v2.1.1 (227), OS X 10.9.1 Recreate: always Steps: 1. Open Alfred Preferences, 2. Features Tab, Terminal / Shell feature 3. Select Application, custom 4. Paste in custom applescript (mine is https://gist.github.com/itsthejb/8900078) 5. Close preferences window 6. Use action - works Expected: Open Alfred preferences, features, terminal / shell, apple script is still set in custom Actual: Reverts to Appliction: Terminal (script doesn't persist) Note: The action seems to work at first, but is eventually lost, especially between boots
  7. I am trying to use a custom binary in a Script Filter. So far, there is only one issue: When I activate the script filter, the binary is called. If I close Alfred before the binary process terminates, that process begins to steal all of my RAM, as if in an infinite loop. Normally, it runs around 500KB of RAM for a split second; when improperly terminated, it will take up to 2GB until I quit the process with Activity Monitor. My script filter contains this code: ./binary "#{query}" How can I prevent the process from going haywire every time Alfred closes before the execution completes? (I do have access to the source code, if needed.)
  8. I'm using OS X 10.6.8 with Alfred 2.0.4 When I'm in web search and click on the button 'add custom search' nothing happens. I get no drop down boxes, nowhere to place the URL, nothing. I have tried a number of times, the same happens every time. Appreciate your help
  9. For those who use site:domain.com keyword a lot on Google, allow me to present you the Site Search Workflow for Alfred 2. How to Use If you have Alfred 2 installed and the Powerpack enabled, download and install this workflow. Then use the keyword "site" and follow the pattern below to search a website on Google: site domain.com keyword For example, if you want to search lucifr.com for alfred, just type “site lucifr.com alfred” and the results will be showed in a drill-down list in Alfred. More, open a result with shift key pressed, the URL of your choice will be copied to clipboard. Notice: A free Google Custom Search API is used in this workflow. Due to Google’s limitation, the max request is 100 per day. Since there might be too many request, you might want to acquire your own API and replace the $key value in the Script Filter part of this workflow.
