  1. Have searched but couldn't find: is it possible, please, to have Alfred 4 Notify me when a certain directory reaches a predetermined size? I put old .dmg and updater files etc into a directory, whose contents I then burn to CD when the size of that directory is around 700 MB. Possible with Alfred? TIA!
  2. 👋 Hi. Long time lurker stopping by to share something I've been working on. I'm calling it Pacmax (PM). Akin to Packal (which is a great website that I'm sure we all know and love) PM is my attempt to fill what voids I feel exist in the current landscape for the other Alfred lovers out there, like myself. Namely: 1) It works from the source, dynamically updating content from GitHub. 2) No accounts are necessary to add Workflows and Themes, because I'm curating submissions. 3) Adding to PM is as simple as submitting the GitHub repository. Repos with files that use the appropriate .alfredappearance & .alfredworkflow extensions will enable PM to display Import (themes will open directly with Alfred) and Get Import File (workflows). There is plenty left to be desired—so your feedback is very important! I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think. Don't forget to add your favorite Workflows & Extensions! I've added a few of my favorites, and have even discovered some real neat repositories that I felt were worth sharing. If anyone is interested, you can learn more about Pacmax at pacmax.org. If you have any kind of feedback or are interested in maybe getting involved on a deeper level I welcome your feedback over at pacmax.org/feedback Thanks and all the best, Maxwell
  3. So I recently installed a community workspace for Alfred and I see it's passing a query to a Python script - which brings me to my question. Where can I see the source of this script?
  4. When searching in Alfred, I would love to be able to open the location of files/directories in the Finder from the search results I'd also like to be able to right click on them and get a context menu as you would the finder or on the desktop. I did a search on this forum and came across something where users can press the right arrow to get the path, but this would be a bit of a pain to manually open the finder, Go > Go to Folder, paste in the path. I imagine it would not be hard to get a script to make this happen although it'd be a bit hacky. I'd like to see these implemented as built-in features. Consider this an opportunity to implement a feature that most people would appreciate even if they take it for granted.
  5. Hey everyone! My first post so please be nice! I am running the latest version of Alfred 3 on Mac OS X Sierra. I'm having a bit of an odd issue that am hoping someone on here can help me out with. For some reason when I use the browser feature in Alfred to navigate some networked volumes (SMB, off a NAS if it matters), it shows multiple different versions of the networked drive but only one is valid. The others have a red dash on them (the symbol Mac OS X uses to show you don't have correct permissions) and obviously they are empty. I have attached a screenshot for clarification. Anyone have an idea about how to clear these old ones out? I have already tried clearing the "cache" in the settings. I have not rebuilt the whole spotlight index as that is time and resource intensive. Before I try that, I wanted to see if anyone on here has any better ideas. Thanks. I appreciate the help!
  6. Hi, I am completely illiterate in Alfred that I discover and it seems awsome to me! Would anyone be compassionate enough to help me start a workflow that would unfold all folders in a directory ? Any help would be much appreciated (including of course, learning material to be followed to progress by myself). Thanks in advance. JMM
  7. Reliably—with caveats detailed below—when searching for a directory in Alfred 2.8.2 for Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 (15D21), capitalization discrepancies between the actual path of the target and the path of the target as stored in the index (or at least as displayed among the search results be Alfred) cause Alfred to open the directory of the parent of directory that has the capitalization discrepancy instead of the target directory. Here is an example: This first path exists... /Volumes/Boxcryptor/Dropbox/e/GLS/Clients/IFFB ...and this second path is displayed as a search result for IFFB (see screenshot, note the capital B in DropBox)... /Volumes/Boxcryptor/DropBox/e/GLS/Clients/IFFB ...but hitting return opens this third path... /Volumes/Boxcryptor ...unless I leave the Finder window with the bad result open and search again immediately, in which case I will get the correct result. Also, sometimes if many windows are open (perhaps one of them displaying the "third path" above, I haven't checked) I can get the right result. In this case, I can close all open Finder windows, search "IFFB" again, and reliably induce the bug behavior. Thanks, Aaron P.S. I tried to include screenshots but got the error "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" when I pasted in screenshots and I didn't see a way to just add an attachment that didn't ask for a URL and show up as a question mark in a box. -- NORMAL -- -- NORMAL --
