  1. Like attached example one, the all icons are not showing properly. Not only doesn't Emacs.app show, but also others doesn't as well. I do "Reload Alfred Cache", but it makes worse. The existing other icons are showing default not the icons from the app. How to fix this?

Thanks.
  3. Hi everyone, Here's a very small workflow to convert a (lovely) PNG image to a (lovely) ICNS icon file (that you can use for your node.js app, for example). Import the workflow from -> the github repository Make a (lovely) 1024x1024 PNG image, Select it in the Finder, Hit CMD + ALT + CTRL + i (like "Image") Et voilà! You can also use the bash script, with more options (png2icns.sh). Enjoy!
  4. Hi fellow Alfred lovers! I'm trying to make Alfred more personal. Is there any possibility to add Dummy ttext when Alfred is oppened (f.e. link in Spotlight, there's text "Spotlight search")? Also, is there possibility to change Alfred icon in Alfred's search bar or change it's possition as well?
  5. Hey guys, quick question. Is there any easy way to use an image from a URL as the icon for a script filter? I've been downloading about 50 compressed thumbnails everytime I use a script I've been writing. (extremely slow) Do you guys know of any easier way to get images from a URL as a script filter icon? Thanks

    Alfred Preferences Icon?

Hello everyone, I have a problem - it looks as follows: It's literally driving me insane. Where can I find the item for the alfred preferences, so that I can exchange it? It doesn't seem to be inside alfred.app - I've even considered searching for kind:image and checking every single image by hand. >.< Thank you in advance.

    [1.6] Get App Icon

Introduction The Get App Icon purpose is to: extract app’s icon from installed in /Application folder apps; extract app’s icon from Alfred action extension download app’s icon from App Store and Mac App Store Download from Packal → link direct download → link Screenshots How it works? To invoke Get App Icon workflow: use the icon keyword which will list all available in /Application folder apps; at top of results there is option to switch to online (App Store / Mac App Store) search that will search for typed app name; use File Action Extract app icon on chosen app on your Mac. The workflow behaves as follow: when used with local application it converts app’s icon in .icns format into .png using the biggest icon size (which is usually 1024 × 1024 or 512 × 512 px) and save it into Desktop folder; when used with online application it downloads its icon in .png format (please read Tips also for further information). Tips As you know, iPhone as well as iPad app icons have rounded corners. But the downloaded files will be squares until you meet this requirement: you have to have installed PIL library for Python. If you don’t have it, but want to, it is quite easy to install. First of all, you need to install pip — package installer for Python. Run below command in Terminal (required administrator password): sudo easy_install pip Next, install Pillow library using pip: pip install --user Pillow That's it. If you want to check if everything was installed properly run in Terminal command: python You will get into Python editor. Type in there: import PIL If everything was made properly you shouldn’t get any message just get into new line. Now you’re done! From now on the downloaded through Get App Icon workflow icons from App Store will have rounded corners! Release info:1.5: initial public release
  8. Hello. When I create icons for my workflows, I resize them and optimize through tinypng.org according to Andrew's advice. But I've noticed that when I drop an icon into workflow details dropdown or into some object (for example, Script Filter) configurator, Alfred modifies the icon. And the modified icon has a much larger size. More than ten times larger. The size is even larger than the icon had before optimizing. I wonder why does Alfred do it? And if Alfred does it, maybe it is pointless to optimize icons?

    Remote Icons

Hi, Sorry for the stupid question. Where can i set icons? where can i choose the “default” icons? is there a set?
  11. Hi, I just made a flat icon for Alfred. Alfred developers can use it for the next version so that it looks nice on OSX Yosemite. Let me know what you think. Illustrator file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l0zp9abu8gdfl55/v1.ai?dl=0 - Dorian
  12. Hello! I've been having an issue where the menu bar icon is re-appearing every time I update. I disable the icon in the preferences, but with each update it seems to come back and I have to repeat that setting. It also forgets the "Save position when dragging Alfred main window" option. OS X version: 10.9.3 Alfred version: 2.3 (264) Cheers!
  13. I am working on a workflow for applications and I was wondering what would be the easiest way (most efficient) to show the app's icon in the results? IE: When I type ".app" and then the name of the application I want to check versioning on, it shows the above so far ... but I'd like to show the icon of the app beside ... like, where an icon goes normally.
  14. I made a workflow to search for movie titles and I really would like to add the movie covers as icon. Since Alfred does not accept URLs to an image as icon I have to download the covers and save them to disc before I can show them. That’s a slow solution. Furthermore the covers are distorted to a square. That’s not nice. I think I’m not the only one who wants asynchronously loaded images (show the results at once and add the images when they are loaded) from an URL for showing them (undistorted) in result lists. I found some questions regarding that issue in the forum. Are there plans to implement that to Alfred? It would be a great help to make wonderful and visually appealing workflows.
  15. I noticed that in OS X 10.9 Mavericks, notifications can use custom icons. iTunes 11.1.2 does this when sending 'Now Playing' notifications, using the album artwork as the primary image. It would be great if workflows could specify custom icons to use in a notification. For example, my Colors workflow could display an image of the color that has been copied.
  16. To me, adding workflows's icons by drag and drop is the only painful thing about Alfred but a really irritating one (Any other Alfred's feature is so well executed you become easily irritated when you find one that is just ok ). Please let us add icons via a dialog box (i.e: one click on the empty box opening a dialog box). Thank you
  17. Hey there, I recognized that since I use 1Password V4, the Icons in the Search are not shown. Everything else is working fine and as expected. Of course 1Password 4 is in a beta, but I'm sure you guys will adapt this soon. Thanks for your great work. Regards, DJay
  18. Currently, Alfred's file buffer uses a set icon size instead of matching the size of result icons. For the visually impaired (or just plain picky, like me ) user where a larger icon is needed, a dynamic size may be better. Finally, for a buffer containing more icons than Alfred is wide: the latest icon should align right, and the icon at the farthest left should be gradually faded out, to indicate there are more behind it. An ellipsis of sorts. Currently, the only way I know Alfred has more files in his buffer is because of the whitespace at the far right, a result of the buffer matching my window width. Cheers
  19. Although this seems like a complicated workflow, it isnt. This is mainly for icon designers. When you create an ".icns" file for the mac (which contains 1024px, 512px, 256px, 32px and 16px versions) and save the file (with icon composer for instance), the file's icon stays on the normal ".icns" file. This means you can't copy the icon and paste it in another file/folder. Some website tell you to open the .icns in preview, select and copy from there… THIS IS WRONG! it only copies the current resolution in preview, but not all versions. If you look at your finder icons, you will see they aren't the same when in list view or icon view! That's because in list view, icons are tiny and thus would not look great with a big resolution icon File action on ".icns" files Keyword "selficon" for currently select file in finder Download: http://d.pr/f/mPRy

Tidy up LaunchPad in Mountain Lion(Link, Download) Usage tdl appname :: Remove app icon from LaunchPad Mountain Lion's Launchpad is pretty good but it's still hard to get something out of it after you put it in if you didn't get it at the Mac App Store. 21. i noticed that the Alfred 2 Release Candidate's Icon looked odd against a dark background. Inside the .icns file, I found that the smaller icons have a weird gray pixel border around the edges of the hat. Check it out: Alfred v2.0 (165) on OS X 10.8.2. Replicated: yes

    Hide dock icon

Would be nice to be able to hide the dock icon. If that's not already possible, and I'm just completely blind.
