  1. This workflow adds a file action called "Paste." It will copy the selected file to the clipboard and then paste it in the front application. It basically automates the copy and paste process where you need to copy and paste files. It will handle multiple files, so if you have multiple files selected, it will paste each of them into the current application. It also adds a number of other files actions including Duplicate, Move to Trash, New Folder, and Open in New Finder Tab. Click here to download the workflow.
  2. Problem and Solution I'm heavy user of Evernote. During internet surfing, I collect enormous amount of links. But copy and paste process consumes too much time and keyboard labor. I just needed titled link in plain format from web browser. I used many clipboard managers such as Clipmate(for windows), Copied, Paste and so on for that reason. Finally, I met Alfred and made this workflow. Problem solved. Lazy Link replaces following process into one hotkey(Ctrl + Option + Command + v). Copy the title of web page on the web browser Paste it as plain text on your rich text editor (eg. Evernote) Copy the link of web page Select title text on the text editor and add link Please, don't waste your time. Default Hotkey Ctrl + Option + Command + v: Paste lazy link Shift + Ctrl + Option + Command + v: Paste lazy link starting with "via: " In rich text editor, it pastes plain HTML link. If you use plain text editor it pastes the link in Markdown format. Links Download GitHub Packal Lazy Link currently supports Safari and Chrome web browser. 저장저장
  3. I am trying to use Alfred as my goto clipboard manager on my Mac. Is there a way to add sound such that when I am using Alfred's clipboard functions, I hear an audible sound when I perform a copy operation and/or a paste operation? Adding this capability would make Alfred much more useful for me.
  4. Type Clipboard Workflow for Alfred App Simple workflow to write the clipboard content in those situations where ⌘ → V doesn't work, typically in non Cocoa application dialogs. It has happened to me in older Flash versions, Intellij IDEA and a few others. You have to go and paste with right clicking the mouse or pad... Atrocious!! Setup After installing the workflow you have to setup the default keyboard shortcut, since Alfred does not auto-import keyboard shortcuts on workflows. I use ⇧⌃⌥⌘ → V, since I don't use it that often. Alternatively, you can trigger the typing with the typeclipboard keyword. Usage Just trigger the shortcut or keyword to type the clipboard content. There's a character cap of 500 characters, to avoid accidents, since the typing takes time depending on the length of the text. If you hit the cap, you'll hear a classic error sound. Installation Download the alfred-type-clipboard.alfredworkflow and import to Alfred 2. 6. I'm a developer and the copy merge feature comes in very handy. Although, often I need to paste it into my code editor and do some additional editing - like add commas between each or && or whatever. It would be nice to (ideally, through the alfred interface) quickly change the setting of what separates each appended item—even set/add custom character(s).
  7. Is there a way to have a workflow that browses images in a specific folder of your computer and actually shows proper thumbnails of said images? I found this workflow that seems to be quite popular. http://destroytoday.com/writings/gif-workflow/ However unlike the giphy workflows (that do show a thumbnail) out there this one doesn't show a thumbnail while I'm using alfred's prompts. It seems like I'm stuck with slow speed either A because I have to query giphy or I have to quick look individual files to see what they are. As a designer I know many designers out there want this functionality. Any Ideas?
  8. Hello, if I'm trying to paste previous copied code to netbeans (an programmers ide) with the integrated clipboard alfred will not paste the copied text to this programm. Any other programs are working. Is it a problem with netbeans? Can anybody help me with this problem?
  9. Hey guys, Here's a simple yet extremely useful plugin to quickly print (on your default printer) a file or some text. If the query is empty, your last copied text is printed. print -> print from clipboard print {query} -> print argument file action, print -> print file. Warning: Not all files will work. 10. Able to replicate: Yes, every time Alfred Version: Version 2.7.1, April 15, 2015 OS X Version: Version 10.10.4 Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new workflow by clicking the "+" button 2. Templates->Clipboard->Paste text clip from hotkey 3. Assign a hotkey 4. Open the block "Copy to clipboard" Enter any text you want to be pasted when invoking the hotkey Check "Automatically paste to front most app" 5. Save 6. Go to any text area or text app and invoke the hotkey 7. The text is copied in twice 8. Uncheck "Automatically paste to from most app" 9. Nothing is pasted, so I'm assuming there is no other script running which my account for the duplication You can see the steps to reproduce the issue here https://www.dropbox.com/s/3y3sexj02jir16r/Duplicate%20pasting.pdf?dl=0 Thanks so much for your help! Most appreciatively, -- Chad
  11. This workflow accesses a Bible program (Accordance) and searches it for the 'selected verse reference' then pastes the result. It works fine. Instead of a hotkey, I want to be able to type a keyword such as 'find' then a verse reference and have the reference run through the script. Tried some of the more obvious approaches, but it just won't work for me. Current configuration is ----- >>>Selection in OSX- Hotkey >>>Run Script- global theResult global moduleName global input global citationFormat set moduleName to "MLV 2016" --NOTE: Change this to change what version you paste, i.e. ASV, but keep in mind it must be available in Accordance. set input to (the clipboard) set citationFormat to "true" getScriptureText(moduleName, input, citationFormat) on getScriptureText(moduleName, input, citationFormat) tell application "Accordance" to set theResult to «event AccdTxRf» {moduleName, input, citationFormat} tell application "System Events" set visible of process "Accordance" to false end tell end getScriptureText tell application "System Events" set the clipboard to theResult end tell >>>Copy to Clipboard - {clipboard} - Paste to frontmost
  12. I'm creating a workflow to add tasks to Nozbe using a keyword + query. I have it functioning now, however, it has a flaw I think more experience creators can tell me how to easily fix (this is my first workflow creation). Currently I have the keyword triggering an AppleScript with the following code: on alfred_script(q) tell application "Nozbe" reopen activate tell application "System Events" key code 53 delay 0.1 keystroke "i" keystroke "a" keystroke "v" using command down key code 36 key code 53 end tell end tell end alfred_script While this works, it requires saving the {query} with the "Copy to Clipboard" output and running the above AppleScript. I want to remove the need for the copy to clipboard so it doesn't clutter it up and have the query directly inputed into the highlighted text box on Nozbe. How can I run the AppleScript to paste the {query} at the bolded section of the script above?
  13. Hey Alfred community, I have been DuckDuckGo'ing (and Googling) and reading posts on this forum for hours looking for an answer before posting what feels like a very noob question, but I couldn't find what I needed, so here goes... Is there a way to save the current clipboard to a variable in memory and then at the end of the workflow restore that variable to the current clipboard? I'm used to the logic of a programming languages where you would so something like this: $myVar = $CLIPBOARD; // save clipboard /* Do stuff that uses the clipboard */ $CLIPBOARD = $myVar; // restore clipboard OR.. Is there a way to swap clipboard history item #2 back to item #1 ? That might solve the problem as well. I know I can just use the clipboard history to get to the previous item and I know I could use a shell/script command to save the clipboard to a file and then bring that back. I'm just hoping there is a way to make it quick and easy and keeping the clipboard in memory is probably way faster and smarter if there is a way to do it. Thanks!
  14. Hi, I want to create a workflow so that when I am looking at a web page in Chrome I can copy the page's URL and Page Title and then when I paste it has created an HTML link with the URL and Page Title as anchor text. For example lets say I am on Alfred homepage - http://www.alfredapp.com/ I use the keyboard combo of Shift+Control+Command+C and Alfred takes the URL (http://www.alfredapp.com/) and page title (Alfred App - Productivity App for Mac OS X) and creates this on the clipboard: <a href="http://www.alfredapp.com/" title="Alfred App - Productivity App for Mac OS X">Alfred App - Productivity App for Mac OS X</a> For extra credit it would be super badass if I have any text highlighted on the page to be put in blockquotes with citation and have the Page Title link added to the end. For example, using the Alfred homepage again, lets say I highlight this text: "Alfred saves you time when you search for files online or on your Mac. Be more productive with hotkeys, keywords and file actions at your fingertips." Hitting Shift+Control+Command+C creates the following: <blockquote cite="http://www.alfredapp.com/"> <p>Alfred saves you time when you search for files online or on your Mac. Be more productive with hotkeys, keywords and file actions at your fingertips.</p> <footer>— <a href="http://www.alfredapp.com/" title="Alfred App - Productivity App for Mac OS X">Alfred App - Productivity App for Mac OS X</a></footer> </blockquote> Thanks in advance for any help and if I messed up and someone else already did this and my ability to search the forum is lacking I apologize. Roger
  15. Hello, I need help learning how to make the following simple workflow. I would like it to do this: Paste selected text without style into a new TextEdit document. I have made workflows before but only for opening files, apps, and URLs - never anything more complex than that. I don't know how to do Apple Scripts and such. Just so you know to dumb it down a little for me. Thank you so much!
  16. I'm trying to create a workflow to transform some text into a hyperlink and automatically paste it. I've copied some text to the clipboard that contains the bits that I need to form the URL. I have a script to create the URL and I can pass it to the Copy to Clipboard Output. But it's still just the URL text. I can modify the script to hack the URL into an RTF snippet. If I push the snippet on the clipboard in the script, I can paste it as a hyperlink, so I know it works. But, if I just pass the RTF data as text to Copy to Clipboard it doesn't paste as a hyperlink (just the RTF code as text). Anybody know if I'm approaching this wrong or if there's a way to programmatically create a hyperlink and automatically paste it to the front most app?
  17. Hi, I´m trying to do a few workflows but can´t get them to work. I´ve tried Googling for a few hours and set up different kind of workflows by my own and downloaded. But can´t get any of thoose to work. 1.Copy text and search in Mail App. Would like it to launch with hot key cmd + double "c" key click. Can get the search to work, but very very slow (can´t the result load within 0,1 sec?) and can´t get the cmd + double "c" key click as a hotkey. 2.Copy text and launch new mail and new email based on a template How to copy text, paste it in the to form, go to subject and paste a different (textexpander) sentence and then to main content and launch a different (textexpander) sentence there? 3. Copy text and open a Google Docs Online data sheet, and search within that whole sheet (including all working sheets) Hope some kindly soul could help me with this or send me to guides of how to do it
  18. Hi, I am trying to write a script in python which would paste a random string. It works normally, but when It tries to paste in iOS Simulator, it does not work. If I try to paste by pressing "CMD + v" it does not work. If I try to paste by pressing "CMD + SHIFT + v" it works. Is there a way to simulate "CMD + SHIFT + v" instead? Thanks.
  19. I do a lot of research on foreign language websites, usually in Japanese. It isn't always possible to use the Chrome translate plug-in, so I tried creating an Alfred Workflow that would: 1- Trigger on a Hotkey with the Argument "Selection in OS X" and Action "Pass through to workflow" 2- Open URL with http://translate.google.com 3- Copy to Clipboard with "Automatically past to front most app" checked. The workflow opens the Google Translate page, but doesn't paste the clipboard contents. I've also tried it with the Argument "OS X Clipboard contents", making sure that I copied the Japanese text to the clipboard first, but unfortunately that doesn't work either. What am I missing? I know the answer must be so simple I'm totally overlooking it.
