  1. It's unfortunately relatively common for apps to declare non-standard (i.e. wrong) UTIs for common filetypes. OPML is a common victim, as are Markdown and Matroska. When dragging files into a File Types field (in a File Filter or under the Advanced options for Alfred's Default Results), Alfred may or may not use the "right" UTI (i.e. the same one as mdls). If Alfred chooses an unwanted UTI, you can change it by hand in info.plist in the case of a File Filter, but there's nothing you can do about the Default Results (as far as I can tell). The proper solution is for the developer of the app responsible for the rogue UTI to fix their app, but this doesn't always happen, and rarely rapidly. This issue would be relatively simple to work around if it were possible to manually edit the UTIs in File Type lists.
  2. Hi, I am using Alfred 3.2.1 after resinstalling in the hope that a fresh indexing would solve the problem. As you can see from the attached screenshot, /Applications is included in the Search Scope, but Alfred cannot find any applications (e.g. iTunes), only giving internet search options for the search input. Thanks in advance for tips/support. Joe
  3. Alfred is pulling results from me from the path below despite the fact that neither it nor any of its parent folders are included in my search scope. ~/Library/Application Support/ How can I fix this problem?
  4. Unless there's already a way to do this, it would be great to have a check box that enables a search scope's top level only, without searching its directories. This would enable finer control and more liberal searching of file types. Thank you!
  5. I've added "~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Together 3" to the "Search Scope" in Alfred, but the applescripts in this directory do not show up in Alfred's results. However, if I copy the same scripts into ~/Scripts, they show up in Alfred's search results. Why won't Alfred find scripts in the custom search scope? (I have "AppleScripts" checked in the "Extras" section)
  6. Greetings, I added /usr/local/Cellar to "Search Scope" in "Default Results", but no results are showing. This is the default folder for HomeBrew. The "macv" keyword should show MacVim.app in the results, but I get nothing.
