  1. Do you toggle "Use all F1, F2, etc keys as standard function keys" frequnetly? Now you can do it from alfred itself Based on https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/59178/toggle-use-all-f1-f2-as-standard-keys-via-script https://github.com/riyaz/alfred-workflows/tree/master/Toggle_Fn_keys_as_standard_keys
  2. Hello everyone, this is kind of last minute as I only have a 24h backup (iMac). Yesterday afternoon i've clicked on an alfred settings file and it has overwritten all my settings and workflows. It looks like default settings. Now I'm trying to find out where I've saved my previous settings because I couldn't find them. I don't know if I've synced them. Is there any way (maybe in the logs) to find out from where alfred was sourcing it's settings before so I could recover it from a 24h backup? Thank you! Kim
  3. Hi When using Alfred 2 to shutdown or restart my Mac, it does it as if I have the setting on to "Reopen windows when logging back in", which is a setting i despise. Is this a bug(that Alfred 2 does not use the users standard setting)? Or is it possible to use these functions without this option on? Thanks.
  4. I have received a new computer from work and want to keep the same configuration for Alfred (preferably without needing to manually copy all the things); is there a way to move _*ALL*_ settings over to the new computer so that my snippets, workflows, custom searches, et cetera are all present and available for use? I was hoping that the sync option would work; but after reading the fine print more (oops), that is not what the feature is designed to help with. is there either an official way or not-official-but-it-may-work-use-at-your/my-own-risk way to duplicate the settings?
  5. It would be helpful to display the current version in addition to the new version on the update tab in settings. This would tell users how far they need to read in the changelog. Thanks for the awesome application! (I have a vague recollection of Alfred doing this in the past, but I'm not certain.)
  6. I use to use Alfred on 2 different computers (home and work) and I'd like to know whether there's any suggestion about how to sync settings in different devices. I read once that is not a good idea to use Dropbox, is that right? Thanks
  7. Hey Andrew, I just did a clean install of OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 and did a fresh clean install of Alfred 2.1.1, too (no workflows, plain fresh and clean), and whenever I try to change a setting or import any skin, on next launch the setting is reset and the skin is gone I have tried repairing disk permissions with no luck, then tried changing the permissions myself with no luck either, then tried enabling sync and set to sync in non-dropbox folder then in dropbox and none worked either I can't do anything without Alfred, so what is happening? Could it be that Alfred is not fully compa
  8. I found out last night that my MBA HDD has been recalled so I'm going to have to get it replaced. While I have TimeMachine Backups I wanted to use this opportunity to have a fresh start with things such as my Ruby installation and basically have a good clean up of my machine, so I don't really want to restore a backup to the new HDD. Does anyone know of a way to export all my Alfred settings and my workflows, then import them onto the new HDD in a single process? I'm aware that I can sync the settings to a folder in Dropbox (or a similar service) and sync them onto another machine,
  9. I ues Alfred for a long time, but this weird problem occurred today. When I fired Alfred after I start my computer today, I found the theme was not the one I used, so I went to the setting panel then found every custom theme disappeared. I use Dropbox for backing up, it shows that two prefs.plist were modified couple minutes ago. Those two files were located in /Alfred.alfredpreferences/preferences/appearance and /Alfred.alfredpreferences/preferences/features/websearch, so all custom web search were gone, I don't even know who did this! The weird thing came up, I restored the old prefs
  10. Today alfred just stopped showing results beyond searching the internet, I've tinkered around with the settings, and nothings working. I did the rebuild index option, reinstalled, cleared the cache, and alas nothing. I have no clue what to do since I use alfred about every 5 minutes, and I'm really starting to notice how much slower things move Settings Window: http://imgur.com/8b7C2Ge,qtI7UfU#0 What happens when I search: http://imgur.com/8b7C2Ge,qtI7UfU#1 TL;DR: Alfred won't display any results. Help!
  11. v2.0 (166) on OS X 10.8.2 Dropbox v2.0.0 Whenever I restart my computer I have to enter my settings again because Alfred doesn't load them. I know he saves them. I've my settings on a Dropbox folder located on a second hard drive: "/Volumes/Almacen/Archivos de Sendoa/Dropbox/Aplicaciones". If I set de sync folder to (for example) my desktop, the problem disappears and the settings get saved and loaded correctly. The strange thing is that whenever I set Alfred to sync with my Dropbox folder and I change any settings, I can see the Dropbox menu bar icon showing that something is be
  12. Is there an easy way to open the alfred settings using alfred? Either directly or as part of a workflow.
