  1. Hi Guys I work with a software that I need always copy from it and past somewhere else. I have a problem with it since it has a lot of unwanted spaces. For example: "My text has a lot of spaces" I would like some workflow that removes all spaces from text except for single spaces between words. In my example would be like that: "My text has a lot of spaces" Basically equal to the function TRIM on Microsoft Excel, I don't have experience with code, so I really appreciate some help.
  2. Hello all, I cannot reveal the "Space" reserved for Finder with Alfred anymore, since mac os updade. Here is exactly what I mean, I have been as precise as possible to eliminate possible misunderstandings. Preconditions: -iMac 27 " running mac os "El Capitan" 10.11 (15A284) -Alfred updated in version 2.8 414 -There is at least 4 spaces set up. -Spaces do not "rearange based on most recent used". -Finder is set to be used on space 3 only. -Safari is set to be displayed on space 1 only. - At least 1 Finder window is opened (on space 3) Steps to reproduce : -open Safari (which then open on space 1) -open Alfred -type in "finder" to trigger the action "open finder app" -press enter Expected Results: (as previously observed before El capitan update) -The view will change to space 3 to reveal the opened finder window Observed Results: -The Finder becomes active but the computer does not change from space 1 ( safari) to space 3 (finder) to reveal the previously opened window. Am I the only one to observe this ?
  3. Hey guys, I didn't find anything similar on packal.org, so I decided to make my own. This is my first ever Alfred workflow. I would appreciate for any feedback! https://github.com/khamza85/alfred-totalspaces2
  4. Hello, forum I started using Alfred 43 minutes ago, ending my long standing command+space relationship with Spotlight. I'm running Mavericks GM. I just noticed that when using the Dictionary define function, if the dictionary is already open on another space, Alfred doesn't shift to that space. It doesn't bring the dictionary in focus on the same space either. Not a big issue, but just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing anything. Thanks for the wonderful application. It took me less than 10 minutes to fall in love. Regards Raptor UPDATE: I wanted to add that the Dictionary app does get selected but no window comes up from another Space.
  5. I ran several tests with this workflow; here are my results: Cursor 'Left' with prefix [space]: [space] is prefixed to selection; on re-editing the hotkey, no [space] is found in 'Prefix' area Cursor 'Right' with prefix [space]: no [space] is prefixed to selection; raw selection returned; on re-editing hotkey, no [space] is found in 'Prefix' area Cursor 'Left' with prefix 'a': [space] and 'a' are prefixed to selection Cursor 'Right' with prefix 'a': 'a' is prefixed to selection; functions normally It seems that setting the Cursor to 'Left' automatically prefixes a space; this should be optional. Setting any 'Prefix' to [space] or [spaces] is ignored unless accompanied by other characters. This is probably by design, but no notice of this behavior is given; perhaps a syntax checker (similar to the one used by Alfred's URL textboxes) would be more intuitive? Alfred 2.0.6 (203) on OS X 10.8.4 (12E55). Replicated: yes
