  1. I am just a beginner, but I thought I would share this simple workflow that does not rely on scripts or variables. It is basically a workflow designed to launch Microsoft Office applications and produce a new document from a template document. I have split the workflow by application so you won't be opening a slew of applications and files at once; I believe, in the real world, you may not really want to launch a bunch of applications and files all at once. There is not much documentation to go with this workflow; it uses tools already accessible within the "All Workflow Objects" workflow as a smorgasboard of tools readily accessible. There are no scripts and it does not rely on variables; just basic stuff. Please send me some feedback and let me know if you like this workflow. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hgkff2sdv7sgq6d/LAUNCH 2 OFFICE DOCUMENTS.alfredworkflow?dl=0
  2. I have tried multiple different settings to fix it, but whenever I expand a snippet into Word, it reformats the paragraph spacing, messing with my document. Is there an option (in either Word or Alfred) to fix this? Thanks!

  5. Word Search is an Alfred 2/3 workflow which exposes powerful word searching utilities. Ultimately, the workflow can be leveraged to widen your vocabulary and make you a better writer. Quick Reference syn [word] - Broadly searches for words related to a word/phrase. dsyn [word] - Searches for a word’s exact synonyms. ant [word] - Searches for a word’s antonyms. rhyme [word] - Searches a word’s rhymes. describing [word] - Searches for words that describe another word Usage Simply type in a command. Selecting a result will copy that word to your clipboard and automatically paste it in the front most app. Installation Simply download the latest .alfredworkflow file and double click it to import it to Alfred. 7. When you open Excel, Word or Powerpoint it shows a panel with the latest used files by the app. This workflow fetches those files and displays them directly in Alfred so you can open them directly. You can also narrow down the files by typing a port of the folder or filename. It only works withe the latest version of office, though. So Office 2011 won't work. You can grab it over here: https://github.com/stroebjo/alfred-recent-office/releases/latest If you have any feedback or suggestions please let me know!
  8. Using a snippet or hotkey, is it possible to paste a Numbers spreadsheet into a Word document? Basically, I have a simple rubric with simple calculations that I need for grading papers. I have hundreds of papers to grade, so rather than having two files, it would save me hours to paste the spreadsheet into the bottom of the Word document. Any ideas? Please rescue me if you have any ideas!
  9. Hey there, I've been using Alfred for quite a while now, but I'm not really familiar with AppleScript or scripting in general. I really dig the workflows in v2 and the function to present results back in alfred, e.g. searching Google in Alfred will return the live search. I was wondering if it is possible to create a new file in Word in a way sort of this: (opening Alfred typing:) word [new file name]#["Documents" folder popping up in the way you see the search results of Alfred's Google search] "#" should be working as a delimiter of the {query} to differentiate between the name of the file and the folder it is supposed to be saved in. Pressing Return would then lead to a new Word Document that has been saved to the specified folder in Documents and being named as entered in Alfred. I'm not sure if this is possible to realize with a workflow, but if so - woohoo! Thanks in advance for looking into it!
