  1. Hi, I try to build a workflow which helps me creating Jira tickets. To do so, I want to start with a list filter – activated by a keyword. The list filter contains entries where the argument value is the same as a snippet keyword. Using a snippet trigger doesn't serve my purpose as I want to select a snippet from the Alfred snippets. How can I achieve my goal? 🤔 Thanks in advance Sören
  2. In the following code, the corresponding content of str1 and str2 are the same, str1 is obtained from the clipboard. str2 is directly assigned. But the value is the same. then they are split in the same way. But the content obtained is different. I am very confused and don't know the reason. Please help me to answer.
  3. Under Workflows if I select and edit a script object. There is a drop down list of shells and interpreters called Language, however, you cannot customise them. At the moment the main reason for wanting to do this is to change to /usr/bin/python3 Python2 is to be removed soon and most languages from default macOS installations at a later date(s). This was mentioned in Catalina’s notes as depreciations. This means in the future people will be using Conda, Homebrew etc to add languages to their systems unless Alfred plans to included runtimes. I actually use Homebrew to get newer versions of python, zsh and bash these are a different paths. I just wonder if there is currently a way to add and change them? Some people also use tools like asdf, pyenv, rvm, direnv etc to manage multiple versions of languages.
  4. This side project is inspired by Welcome to the 168 Hours Time Tracking Challenge! - Laura Vanderkam. You could leverage Alfred and Google Sheets to track your time with ease. The easiest way to install it is with brew: brew install lastpass-cli If you have not installed brew, first run this: /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install.sh)" Variables ClipboardTimeout Number of seconds a password is stored in the clipboard before restoring the clipboard to its previous contents lppath Location of the LastPass CLI program lpuser Your LastPass username Commands lpin [username] Login to LastPass. If you have previously logged in with the CLI's --trust option you can leave this blank. If you have not enabled MFA for LastPass do it now. Until then, you can leave this blank. lpout Logout of LastPass. lpstat Show LastPass status. 9. Hi, new alfred user, non-programmer here innocently raising the white flag. Alfred: Ver 4 Workflow: Reduce file size with query (cd desktop || sips -s formatOptions {query} *.jpg) Status: Works perfectly but using the 'terminal command' Goal: Run the same script but using the action 'run script' (so I can get the same result without opening the terminal app.) I can't find the solution anywhere on the web (maybe it's that obvious, nobody felt the need to explain haha). I have pasted the exact command in the 'run script' action but it returns nothing for me. Could someone please point out where I'm going wrong, please? If I can do this one script then I will be able apply the same principles to all my other terminal workflows. Thanks. (screenshots attached for reference (2 similar scripts with one that takes an argument))
  10. This is my first post in this forum and I hope, that I'm not breaking any conventions here. Advices are welcome 😉 Not only I'm new in this forum, I'm a new Alfred user as well and created some Workflows. So, as my first submission, I like to share my Stick Notes app approach, which may be even interesting for users, who usually don't use the macOS Stickies App. It can be used by keyword and hotkey and offers the possibility to quickly add sticky notes as you are working in an app. The workflow creates the sticky note and immediately returns to the app, you are working in. So this is a kind of addition to the clipboard history by making special notes visible on the desktop. I hope you like it. Feedback is welcome, especially as I'm a new workflow creator. Sticky Note GitHub: https://github.com/IOIO72/alfred-sticky-note Packal: https://www.packal.org/workflow/sticky-note No special requirements. Tested with Alfred 4.
  11. Hello guys, I use RStudio everyday and often have to switch between several RStudio projects. I wonder if there exists a Alfred workflow to show all my active RStudio projects and quickly switch to it. I don’t want to use cmd+tab since there are too many projects. What I need is: 1. Using key word to show all active RStudio projects. 2. Switch to it using up/down arrow and enter key, or using cmd+number Thanks in advance!

  14. Because the previously shared workflows for IMDB-integration didn't work anymore I made my own. This is my first publicly shared workflow and this is also my first python-script. Probably things could have been programmed better, but it works for now. So its not really fancy, but I think its workable, as long as IMDB doesn't change the API. Hope this workflow is some use for you all. https://github.com/wotell/alfred-workflow-imdb/blob/master/bin/Search%20IMDB.alfredworkflow
  15. Hi there, I was curious if there was a workflow to open the same url multiple times but with different queries. For example: Keyword is 'o' Linked to Open URL: https://domain.com/install/config/{query} This currently opens the url and runs a search for the query I input. I'm currently not able to look up more than one query at a time. Ideally I'd like to create a workflow that would allow me to open multiple urls with different variable queries. o query1,query2,query3 and have 3 or more tabs open with the desired url and query. https://domain.com/install/config/query1 https://domain.com/install/config/query2 https://domain.com/install/config/query3 What would be the best way to create this kind of workflow or at least get started?
  16. I have no idea how to do this. I'm trying to attach a workflow to a post, but the attachment bar only allows image files. The "My Attachments" page is empty and has no option to upload. Kinda stumped…
  17. With the risk of reinventing the wheel, I created a Alfred workflow that move the selected items to a group from a list of predefined (and definable in the config!) groups. The options are: - setting a hotkey (optional) - setting the trigger command (default: dtm (as in devonthink move)) - create your own list of groups sorted in most used or fixed Try it, improve on it and let me know. If there are any questions just post a comment! Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8mv5bcwzj8qsach/DEVONthink move item.alfredworkflow?dl=0
  18. Hi, Is it possible to create a workflow that let me launch the main features of onyx from alfred? Can you help me creating one workflow like this? Thanks, Tecnoborder
  19. Ok. I've migrated to Version 2 and upgraded the PowerPack. I've reworked all my Scripts/AppleScripts to work with the new workflow system. Most are working fine. However, I'm having issues with one particular workflow, using a 'Keyword->Run NSAppleScript'. Entering the keyword runs the workflow, but the VNC session does not start. I'm running a keyword with no argument, and the AppleScript is as follows: on alfred_script(q) open location "vnc://magneto.local:5900" end alfred_script I've also replaced with the local IP address of the server, and still no go. By the way, this works fine in Alfred 1.x. Appreciate some help with this Cheers, Tarique.
