Snippet expansion broken in HipChat

The snippet auto-expansion doesn't work correctly in HipChat (https://www.hipchat.com). For example, if I have a snippet (thx -> thanks), it expands into 'ththanks' in HipChat. Snippet expansion works as expected in other apps.

@ctwise Launch Alfred's prefs to Snippets and click on the cog in the top right; Under Tweaking, choose "slow down simulated key events".

 

I believe that when we had a look into HipChat, we worked out that it was processing events out of order (possibly as a result of using a cross-platform UI framework). Slowing down key events resolved the issue, allowing it time to catch up with deleting keystrokes before pasting.
