dakila
Hello, My first look at Alfred. Excited about the Workflow. But how would I loop through all files in a directory, launch an app to process them, log that a file has been processed, and append the result to an output file? Or is this logic beyond Alfre? Thanks. Daks Edited February 13, 2017 by dakila Wrong word Link to comment
Vero
@dakila Welcome to the forum Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile first? This allows us to confirm that you're a registered Powerpack user. Cheers, Vero Link to comment
dakila
Hi, thanks for the reply. No, I still don't have a copy of Powerpack. I'm trying to find out first if Alfred can do the very first thing I'd like Alfred to do. Could then direct me to the page where I can read the capabilities of Workflow? Resty Link to comment
vitor
@dakila Anything you can do with a script, you can do via Alfred. So yes, that is possible. You can read about workflows in the documentation. Link to comment
Vero
@dakila Elaborating a little on what @vitor said: Alfred can be used to launch/trigger a script to process files in a given location, but you don't specify what app you'd like to launch and whether actions in that app can be automated using AppleScript for example. This will be an essential part of your puzzle Cheers, Vero Link to comment
dakila
Thank you. Let me look at Applescript ... Link to comment
