DeleteConfig — Find settings and preferences to delete

Recommended Posts

Call dconf followed by any piece of text, and Alfred will look for it inside ~/Library (ignoring some common sources of false positives).

To act on the selections, use the standard Alfred shortcuts. You can activate file actions, dive into directories, preview files, add them to the file buffer — whatever you want to do that is supported by Alfred.

The goal of the Workflow is that you select what you recognise as setting you want to delete after uninstalling an app, add them to Alfred’s File Buffer, and then delete them all.

If it seems like the code is simplistic and outdated (XML Script Filter, even), that’s because it is. This is one of the first Workflows I ever made — it’s just that I had never released it (or made a proper icon, or written the README, or even added a version).

Update.

To update, download the latest version (same URL) or wait a few days (15 or less) and it’ll prompt you to on next usage, since it uses OneUpdater.
