Accessing clipboard history crashes Alfred

@sydmalicious78 strange! Could you try deleting the clipboard database in the following location:

~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 3/Databases/clipboard.alfdb

It could be that the latest macOS update has corrupted the database.

Cheers,

Andrew

Nope. That doesn't work either. Is there a way to send you some diagnostics data?

I'm experiencing the same kind of problem.

- macOS 10.13
- 3.5.1 [883]

I've quit Alfred and deleted
~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 3/Databases/clipboard.alfdb

Problem still occurs as soon as I invoke first Alfred and then the Clipboard Viewer. Alfred crashes shortly after the Clipboard Viewer appears in the list of results.

Please let me know if my crashlog helps

Thanks,

Stefan

full low level reindexing did the trick for me. Problem solved.
Thanks Andrew for your instant support. Very much appreciated!

This looks like an Apple API crash outside of Alfred's control which is taking Alfred out. The crash is in the metadata query API which Alfred uses to search for files and apps.

The first thing to try is doing a full low level reindex of your Mac. There is a shortcut for this in Alfred's Advanced preferences > "Rebuild macOS Metadata". Be sure to select the option to delete the /.Spotlight-V100 folder as this helps clear out any corruption or permissions issues.
