BullFlag
I'm struggling how to set up Double Hotkey. Is there a special key sequence to enter "Double Shift" ? I can't seem to enter a double modifier key like seen in the screen shot below. What's the trick to enter " ⇧double " as seen below Link to comment
deanishe
Just double-tap SHIFT when the Hotkey box is selected. If that isn't working, make sure you don't have another app messing with your modifier keys, like Karabiner. Link to comment
GuiB
With what @deanishe said, make sure you don't have another workflow that already uses the Hotkey that you want as Alfred doesn't allow two times the same Hotkey even they are into different workflows. If you try to set a Hotkey that is already registered somewhere else, then it would look like nothing is happening. Link to comment
BullFlag
Thanks @deanishe@GuiB The error I made was assuming a DISABLED workflow that re-used the exact same Hotkey would be ignored. Nope, you can't use the the same Hotkey assignment already in use even if the workflow is disabled. Seems like a reasonable practice. I had used double shift in a DISABLED workflow, so it won't be accepted as a valid Hotkey assignment, it's "already in use" Edited February 18, 2018 by BullFlag Link to comment
Vero
@BullFlag This is intentional as, otherwise, if you were to re-enable another workflow that uses the same hotkey without realising it's in use twice, pressing one hotkey combo will suddenly trigger two workflows, with unexpected results. You can clear a hotkey by popping up the Hotkey object, focusing on the hotkey field and pressing the backspace. The hotkey combo will then be free for use elsewhere. Cheers, Vero Link to comment
