Make sure you don't have two apps trying to expand, e.g. are you running TextExpander or macOS' own expansion at the same time? To check, change the keyword to something obscure and definitely not in use to see what happens. Cheers, Vero Link to comment

I was pretty certain that wasn't the case as I had already uninstalled TE but I checked the Mac keyboard shortcuts too and they were fine. I was perplexed until I realised that it was only happening in Chrome. Turns out I was running "Auto Text Expander for Google Chrome" and had completely forgotten about it! Works a treat now.
