sgutierrez
Box developed some months ago a new way to access your files without the need of syncing them on your local drive. Since now, I found my local files using Alfred, because they were there. But when I pass to Box Drive, my entire drive is located on my computer as a network drive, I can dive in my files seemlessly, but I cant control which of them are local and which are not. Neither Spotlight or Alfred can see my Box folders. The only way to search into this new drive is the Box app. It would be nice to be able to search into this folders using Alfred... Alfred uses the same macOS system file/metadata index as Spotlight. As with Google Drive File Stream, it's up to Box to integrate their stuff with the appropriate macOS APIs. Please submit your request on the Box forums: there's nothing Alfred can do about it.
Bomber
@deanishe Do you know if since last year there has been any change on this topic? I switched to Box Drive recently and wonder if there is a way to search Box now, or perhaps a workaround available.
deanishe
I haven't got a clue, I'm afraid. I don't use Box. As noted above, Box-related forums are a better place to look/ask for such info. It's a matter of integration between Box and macOS/Spotlight.
