Searching in files in a specific location

I was wondering whether there's a way to search in files for a certain word/ phrase but only files in a certain location (folder)?

Hi @Nat and welcome to the forum  

 

Take a look at the Workflows tab, click the [+] at the bottom > Examples > Dynamic File Filter.

 

This built-in workflow example uses the keyword "ff", so type "ff" followed by a folder you'd like to search, then press return. You've now specified the search scope within which you want to search, and you can then type the name of the file you're looking for. 

 

 

You can create your own workflows where, for example, you could dynamically specify the file types you want to search (or just create a few workflows for the most common file types you might search, e.g. images, pdfs).

Thanks for this. I want to be able to search IN the files within a specified folder though, not just merely search for the file name. Is this possible and if so, how?
