edit: it seems like the service has DDoS check now and the API requires authorisation.

Hi, just wondering what it might take to update this one? as of MacOS 12.3 it doesn't work anymore (Python v2 removed). Also tired the alternative https://isitdown.site appears to be gone now as well! @gingerbeardman

My version uses PHP and a different service to get around problems with Python 2 and the original service.

I found a site called https://doj.me (down or just me) which has been around for a couple of years and allows querying like we need.
