Carbon
I upgraded from A3 to A4 today cause the I can't really find any files except for applications in the previous version. However, when I upgraded to A4 everything was fixed except that the applications no longer shows up in the search bar. I've tried cleaning the cache, reindexing and it didn't work. Link to comment
Andrew
@Carbon Is Spotlight finding files and apps? What have you tried on this page: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ Cheers, Andrew Link to comment

Andrew
@Carbon Could you answer these: 1. Can Spotlight find the files and applications? 2. Is /Applications/ in your search scope? Link to comment
playmakerx
Are you using macOS 10.15 beta now? I think you have the same problem as me. You need to manually add /System/Applications to the Search Scope list in Preferences - > Features -> Default Results (thanks to scaba). Tom Hightower and Xantios Krugor 2 Link to comment
Stratocumulus
Hello. I don't know if it's directly related to the OP but since upgrading to Alfred 4 (and migrating preferences and workflows), Alfred doesn't find applications in subfolders anymore (e.g. /Application/DaVinci Resolve/DaVinci Resolve.app). Spotlight does so without issue. Is there a preference I should tick anew somewhere? EDIT: Fixed by searching for the app with Spotlight, launching it, and trying again after around 30 minutes. Weird but hey. Edited June 9, 2019 by Stratocumulus Link to comment
