New snippets not expanding in Alfred bar

If I try a snippet elsewhere outside of Alfred, it works (browser bar, in a text file, anywhere), but in the bar any new snippet I make wont expand. Older ones from pre-Alfred 4 work fine in the Alfred bar.

 

macOS Mojave 10.14.5 (18F132) and Alfred 4.0.1 b1078

@Travis Schmeisser Alfred's snippets don't expand in Alfred itself by design. You can remove Alfred from the excluded apps by going to Features > Snippets > Auto Expansion Options > and remove Alfred 4 and/or the Preferences as you'd like.

 

Check whether you've got Alfred 3 and 4 running concurrently if you're seeing your old snippets expanding in Alfred 4, as that may be Alfred 3 running in the background.  You can do this by launching Activity Monitor and sorting by name. You can then quit Alfred 3 if it happens to be running too.

@Vero Thanks for the response:

1. What's weird is my other (older) snippets were working fine inside the Alfred bar (i use these for quick searches inside workflows a lot) . I removed Alfred and it works now.
2. I definitely made sure to remove Alfred 3 before.
