tcurdt
I want to run a workflow when something is getting copied into the clipboard. If the clipboard content matches a certain pattern I want to open a URL. Is this possible at all? To me it seems I need a keyboard trigger that then inspects the clipboard. Which isn't quite as automated as I wished. cheers, Torsten Link to comment
deanishe
Hi @tcurdt, welcome to the forum. 1 hour ago, tcurdt said: Is this possible at all? Not directly, no. Alfred only responds to explicit user action (hotkeys, snippet triggers). This is by design. If you want Alfred to "watch" your clipboard, you'd need to create a hotkey (e.g. ⌥⌘C) that triggers a copy command (by simulating ⌘C) and then looks at the clipboard. Link to comment

So I didn't miss something. But thanks for the clarification. Link to comment
