dfay
Just noticed something very odd. When I have my phone plugged into CarPlay and navigate to the Alfred Forum site, my head unit, which was playing the radio, went silent. It only does this when there's something on a web page playing audio or video. Is there a hidden video or something playing here? Link to comment
deanishe
Was it on a particular page? I can't see anything in the page markup. I browse the forum a lot on my phone while listening to audiobooks, but I've never experienced the same (which I theoretically should). Link to comment
Andrew
@dfay could it have been the bleep bloop you get when there is a notification or message on the forum? Link to comment
deanishe
There’s a bleep-bloop? Huh. I guess I must be blocking that without knowing. Link to comment

There's a preference to disable the sound in the Notification Settings at: The Bell Icon (top right corner) -> Notifications Settings -> Notification preferences -> Play a sound when I receive a notification @dfay , could this help to uncheck this? dfay
I was hopeful but it still produces a silence, even with the sound option off in notifications and no new notifications. And as soon as I navigate to another site, the radio comes back on. Edited July 31, 2019 by dfay Link to comment
