[SOLVED] Rich file preview not showing up

Recommended Posts

I tried searching for this but can't find anyone with the same version. As far as I can tell, I have tweaked the settings and granted permission, but I am missing the rich file preview part when I search on Alfred.

That is, for the screenshot on https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/previews/ I am missing the right hand side with the picture and the file info.

Hoping for a fix! (I even bought the Powerpack thinking this is a paid feature.)

The preview isn’t available in all screens (that’s the File Actions window, for example).

Which screen are you looking at? There’s no preview in Alfred’s “normal” mode, for example. You can only Quicklook individual results by hitting SHIFT or CMD+Y.

Hi, can you please elaborate on this? Where does Alfred shows a rich file preview? Since in the documentation is stated that:

Quote

Alfred presents you with rich file previews in the Actions panel, as well as when using File Navigation

I thought that opening Alfred with Cmd+Space (for example) will open Actions panel. If not, can you please explain, how to show preview? I understand the Quicklook feature, but I don't get a preview one.

Thank you in advance

When you see this screen:

file-preview.png

... that appears after typing "find grumpy" in Alfred AND then selecting a result AND clicking the right arrow.

Pretty proud of figuring that out.

I always thought I had a setting turned off that I couldn't find.

It is documented here, but in a different context:

This was one of the most frustrating things about Alfred.
