Search and Filter Files by Their Parent Folder

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to create a workflow that searches only for Premiere CC project files on my machine (or mounted network drives,) but filtering out any Premiere CC project files that are contained within any folders with the word "Auto-Save" in the title. Is something like that possible? I can create a search like that in Finder, I'm just not sure how to do it in an Alfred workflow. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Afraid not, no. Alfred fundamentally doesn't do blacklisting. Your only real option using Alfred's built-in tools is to drag all of your "Auto-Save" folders into Spotlight's Privacy pane.

How do you do it in Finder? If you can do it there, you could probably use the mdfind command-line program to create a simple Script Filter to do it instead.
