Append Clipboard Customizable Key Shortcut

I think that it would be nice that in addition to using CMD + CC to append text to the clipboard, using a customizable key combo and clicking it once would be nice as well.

 

CMD + CC or Option + C would do the same thing.

You can do this with a Workflow.

Connect a Hotkey Trigger to a Copy to Clipboard Output. On the Hotkey Trigger, set Argument to Selection in macOS; on the Copy to Clipboard Output, check Automatically paste to frontmost app and on the text box write:

{clipboard}
{query}

 

Here’s a ready-made Workflow.

You’ll have to be more explicit. You haven’t said how it’s working, what you expected, or why the former and the latter aren’t in alignment. I can’t help you if I don’t know what’s wrong.

It makes simply duplication of current clipboard, and can be corrected with using {clipboard:1}

you can edit workflow, change Copy to Clipboard element to 

{clipboard:1}
{query}
