Selected text with list filter to process?

I want to pass selected text into a workflow, then select what I want to do with that selected text from a list filter.  E.g., grab selection, then have options to append it to a single one out of a variety of files.  Is this possible?

Yes. Between your Hotkey Trigger and List Filter Input, have an Argument and Variables Utility. Make the Argument blank and set some variable name of your choice to {query} (i.e., the passed input). You can use the variable later on whatever actions you want.
