how do I create default search engine and browser

Recommended Posts

@atv You can set duck duck go as Alfred's default fallback in Alfred's Preferences > Features > Default Results > Setup fallback results (type ?fallbacks into Alfred to get to this preference instantly). Select the [+] button, then Web Search, then Duck Duck go. Drag this above Google and it'll be Alfred's default fallback.

As for Brave, you'll need to set this as the default browser in macOS. You can do this in the macOS System Preferences > General > Default web browser.

Cheers,

Andrew

I use the free version a lot! I just entered duck schwab to search for schwab using DuckDuckGo. It did not work.

@rrchampion First, make sure you're using Alfred 4.

Next, "duck" is the default keyword, but take a look at Alfred's Preferences > Features > Web Search, and take a look at whether you've modified the keyword for the Duck Duck Go web search.

Cheers,
Vero
