psifertex 2
I'm migrating from an older computer to a new computer. I sync'ed my Documents folder with Dropbox and then I sent to the Alfred settings and pointed it toward the location. It asked to restart, and I did so at which point alfred became non-responsive. I killed the process in a terminal and re-ran it from the CLI. Here's what the output looks like: 2020-06-24 00:29:06.656 Alfred[9342:129749] [TIMER] 0.546066 seconds to initialise Alfred 2020-06-24 00:29:13.553 Alfred[9342:129984] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 621886XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:29:26.683 Alfred[9342:129773] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 86DC4XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX79F:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:29:28.680 Alfred[9342:129773] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 62188XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXC2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:29:44.871 Alfred[9342:130505] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 62188XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXC2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:29:46.231 Alfred[9342:130505] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 86DC4XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX79F:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:00.676 Alfred[9342:130891] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 621XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX77C2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:07.579 Alfred[9342:131431] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 86DCXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX279F:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:16.306 Alfred[9342:131644] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 62XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX477C2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:29.466 Alfred[9342:131936] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 86DCXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX279F:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:32.465 Alfred[9342:132089] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 6218XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX7C2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:48.257 Alfred[9342:132417] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 6218XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX7C2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:30:51.552 Alfred[9342:132464] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 86DCXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX279F:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. 2020-06-24 00:31:03.202 Alfred[9342:132464] Could not fetch group for change type 1 with identifier 621XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX77C2B:ABGroup, making it a delete change type. No matter how long I let it sit there, it just hangs. I suppose I can probably remove all my preferences but I'd rather not have to manually recreate all my settings/snippets/workflows from my old computer. Any suggestions? Link to post
Andrew 822
@psifertex The first thing to try is to keep your settings backed up and safe, and reset Alfred to see if things work with a default set of settings. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/reset-alfred/ Once things are up and running, I'll help you get it working with your synced prefs. psifertex 2
That did the trick. After a fresh uninstall/reinstall, Alfred picked up on the sync'ed settings and was working fine. I had to manually add alfred to the "full disk access" as it wasn't showing up as something I could enable. Maybe that was related? Either way, all set. Thanks for the help. Link to post
