Can Alfred search for files within an app bundle (package contents)?

I've tried adding the folder within the package to the default Alfred search scope and I've tried creating a file filter with that same search scope. Neither works. :/

Nope. The contents of app bundles aren't indexed by macOS, so Alfred can't search inside them (and neither can Spotlight).

Thanks for confirming. Are there any workarounds that might exist using a shell script?

Standard command-line search tools, like find grep and locate (if you’ve turned it on), can search app bundles, sure. They’re just directories after all.

If you’re trying to plug one into a Script Filter, though, do yourself a favour and use a language that supports JSON, not bash or zsh (or AppleScript).
