it would be helpful to be able to set the colour of the clipboard history text (and music library) separate to the result text. I often use a theme where the result text is quite pale and recessive, but the selected result is quite dark and prominent. unfortunately this means that I can barely see the text of the clipboard history or music library

Hi @John_Orthogonal, welcome to the forum.

 

That's an awfully large change to Alfred you're asking for to solve a problem that, essentially, you've deliberately created for yourself. I honestly wouldn't hold out much hope unless you can think of a better reason.
