dartiss
So, I'm running both Chrome and Firefox - one for work and one for personal. However, I use Alfred for both. As all web shortcuts are directed to the default browser, this causes me issues. Is there a way to direct such shortcuts to a specific browser? Link to comment
Vero
@dartiss Which web shortcuts are you referring to? If there are specific ones you want to open in a browser other than your default one, your best bet is to create a workflow for the custom search or web search in question. There's a built-in example workflow that shows you how to open a search in a specified browser, called "Should I watch this movie?". You can find it in the Workflows > + > Examples > Should I watch this movie. The YouTube query automatically opens in Chrome, while the other two will open in the default browser. Beyond this, if you have more specific ideas, share them and I'm sure the community will be able to help you out Cheers, Vero Link to comment
dartiss
I was thinking more of the general "Web Search" options, rather than creating custom workflows for each. It sounds as if this isn't something you support, though. Link to comment
deanishe
What exactly is it you want to achieve? Do you want bookmarks to open in the browser they came from? Or something more complex, like specific domains to specific browsers? Link to comment
dartiss
The latter. I'd like, with the web search option to specify which browser the web results should be opened in. Context - I use different browsers for work and personal use, so am limited to using Alfred just for work. Link to comment
deanishe
Then you need something like Choosy. Or you could hack it into my Suffix Web Search workflow and access your Web Searches via that. Link to comment
