emilylynchfries
I use Alfred on a daily basis to open the Keychain Access app on my Mac. I just updated to Big Sur yesterday, and now Alfred will not return a result for Keychain Access. I double checked that Alfred was up to date. I also checked that Alfred had all the required permissions needed in System Preferences. Just to triple check I also turn on "unintelligent search all file types." It looks like Alfred is now only returning search results for third party apps I've downloaded to my computer. It will not return results for any app that comes natively on a Mac. i.e. It will search Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Ringcentral, etc. But it will not return a result for Keychain Access, Music, Photos, Calendar, Preview, etc. Please help! deanishe
Hi, @emilylynchfries, welcome to the forum. What is the "o" in your screenshot? I wouldn't expect Keychain Access to match the query "o Keychain Access". Link to comment
emilylynchfries
"o" is Open. I just changed my shortcut preferences. See my preferences below: Link to comment
deanishe
Okay. What happens when you type only “Keychain Access” into Alfred without your keyword? Does Alfred find it then? Link to comment
emilylynchfries
No. It does not return any results. Link to comment
deanishe
Have you followed the Troubleshooting Guide? Link to comment
emilylynchfries
I figured it out! Somehow while installing Big Sur, my Alfred app defaulted back to Alfred 1. Not Alfred 4! How bizarre. So I deleted Alfred 1 and reinstalled Alfred 4. that solved the issue. deanishe 1 Link to comment
