Waxhaw
I am looking for a clipboard manager and would like to try out Alfred's before I buy it. Also, how much in $USD is a subscriptions? Do people who are software developers use it? Link to comment

It’s pay once for the current major version, or pay a bit more (but also once) for lifetime upgrades. 21 hours ago, Waxhaw said: Do people who are software developers use it? Yes. But you don’t have to be one to build simple Workflows (what Alfred calls it’s plugins / extensions). If you’re a developer, think of Alfred as a way to extend scripts and CLI tools with simple bespoke GUIs which are fast and easy to build and invoke. Link to comment
Waxhaw
Is there a way I can try out the features and also how much would it cost for both options in $USD? Thanks, Paul Link to comment

What exactly do you want your clipboard manager to do? Like with every feature in Alfred, light weight and performance are top priorities. It only remembers text, images and files, and it aggressively prunes multiple representations of the same data. If you want everything you put on the clipboard to be unconditionally saved to disk forever, Alfred's clipboard history manager might not be the right choice for you. Link to comment
Waxhaw
I figured out how much it would be in $USD. Is there just the one rate for a lifetime? Any non-profit or multiuser licenses? Link to comment

I don't know about upgrade pricing because I have the lifetime Mega Supporter licence and haven't paid a penny in about a decade. @Vero is the one to talk to about licences. Link to comment
Vero
59 minutes ago, Waxhaw said: Is there just the one rate for a lifetime? Any non-profit or multiuser licenses? You can choose between: Single User license, which is for use on up to two Macs, provided they're for your own use and not shared workstations. This license is valid for Alfred 4, and you'll be presented with a discounted upgrade option when a future version of Alfred is announced. Mega Supporter, which is for use on up to four Macs, again for your own use only and not shared workstations. This license gives you free updates to all future versions of Alfred for Mac. It's a bonkers good deal, as @deanishe says, as you purchase once and then feel smug with every future update Given that we offer the core version of Alfred for free, we don't offer discounts on the license. You can get started right away by grabbing a license here: https://www.alfredapp.com/shop/ If you're part of a company where you're thinking of purchasing the Powerpack for 5+ team members, we do offer a corporate licensing scheme, which makes the distribution of licenses to teams easier.
