New apps are not found [Solved]

I've been using Alfred for years and it's worked flawlessly. Recently it has stooped being able to find apps that I recently installed. The older apps are still found. What could cause this?

 

I am using a Late 2012 Mac Mini with the latest Apple-supported OS (Catalina) for this older machine.

@Jimtowner Which version of Alfred are you using? (Look at the update tab in the preferences for this information)

I have version 4.3.3.

@Jimtowner In that case, you can use Alfred's built-in Troubleshooting tool to establish what's happening on your Mac.

Drag in a few apps, and see what the output is. You can then follow the instructions further down the page to help you rebuild your index, and so on.

Thanks for your help Vero. Problem is fixed. I ran Troubleshooting and it pointed to a Mac indexing issue. Then I remembered that a while ago I had told Spotlight not to search the volume where my apps are located because of a Spotlight problem I was having at the time but is now resolved. I added the volume to Spotlight and that did the trick. I actually wasn't sure if Alfred relied on Spotlight but now I know it does.
