Use snippets in Alfred itself

This may have been answered but I searched and could not find it, but it makes for a bit a tricky search.

Is it possible to use Alfred snippets inside of the Alfred search box? I am using Dr Drafts and would like to include a date in the entry append, but I would like to use a snippet that inserts the date at the beginning of the line. I have a snippet of "ddf" that inserts the date but of course it doesn't work INSIDE of Alfred. Is there a way to make that happen?
