The first typed characters of my query are missing...

Similar to issues listed here - 1, 2

 

I find that the first letter of my Alfred Query often gets dropped. 

 

I've remapped my caps_lock to F19 using Karabiner Elements, and that's the trigger I use for invoking Alfred (Thanks to The Verge for the suggestion). I'm not sure if using Karabiner Elements is considered shortcut interference or not?

 

Any suggestions?

@neotaruntius this is almost always attributed to a hotkey conflict, or hotkey fettling, and is quite unusual to hear about these days.

 

A very quick test you could make is temporarily disable Karabiner, and set Alfred to use the default ⌥Space hotkey, to see the issue persists. If the issue is gone, perhaps restart Karabiner, and see if Alfred's default ⌥Space hotkey still works with no issue.

I think switching to cmd+space seems to have resolved the issue. Perhaps Karabiner remapping is considered a conflict?
