MattBlack
hi, new here! can I get Alfred to find photos in my Photos library on an external drive? a typical name generated by Photos on import would be 3C977956-0F80-454F-91D9-8FAA56E77F51_1_105_c If I type the first few chars of this into Alfred...doesnt find it? Ive added the folder where they are in Search Scope prefs. thanks M Link to comment
Vero
@MattBlack Alfred relies on macOS for indexing, so the first step is to work out whether your volume is indexed, which you can do using Alfred's File Troubleshooting tool:https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ Drag a few files into the troubleshooter to see what Alfred reports; If it's not indexed, take a look online at the best way to index your drive (as this can depend based on the way you access the volume). MattBlack
thanks for response Vero. I did as you suggest and the trouble shooting failed ie files are not indexed (see below). However the drive they are on HAS been added to Alfreds Search , its HAFIZSSDX/Pictures where my Iphotos library lives. So it should have been indexed? the error seems to be to do with the metadata... thanks M Starting Diagnostics...
