Phileosophos Posted July 8, 2021 Share Posted July 8, 2021 I'm a long-time Alfred user, but to date I've only scratched the surface. I've started trying to create a workflow to achieve my goal, which is to process PDF files when they're added to a folder or modified therein. I thought that would be very simple, but unless I'm missing something it appears there is no notion of a trigger that initiates a workflow for new files/folders. Is that right? If I'm wrong, could somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
dfay Posted July 8, 2021 Share Posted July 8, 2021 That’s correct. Alfred is a user interaction-driven tool — for what you describe you’d need an app like Hazel, or MacOS folder actions, which are set up to monitor background activity. Link to comment
