Alan He
As above is my current action, but the question is that I don't want text to go into my clipboard Link to comment
Andrew
If you mean you don't want it going in Alfred's clipboard history, use this option in the Copy to Clipboard object: Link to comment

Alan He
I try it, but not work. Any method to modify selected text instead of by copy to clipboard? My original intention was to modify the selected text. Edited September 4, 2021 by Alan He Link to comment
Tsunami
As mentioned in Andrew's second screenshot, Alfred always copies the selected text to the clipboard. I think even when you use the "Restore previous clipboard item" option, the selected text will still be in your clipboard history. The "Mark item as transient" option only makes it so the modified text doesn't show up in the clipboard history as well. Edited September 4, 2021 by Tsunami Link to comment

deanishe
Then you either haven't checked all the options described above, or you have some other software altering your clipboard. There is no way to do this without using the clipboard. That is the only way Alfred can get the current selection. Link to comment
Alan He
I got it,thank you. I think Apple Script it's a way. I still hope that the clipboard does not copy selected text. This is very annoying, or provides an option before recovery Edited September 4, 2021 by Alan He Link to comment

It does not work the way you describe when it is configured correctly. 1 hour ago, Alan He said: I think Apple Script it's a way. Unless you only need it to work in a specific application with very good AppleScript support, you still need to use the clipboard to get the current selection. Link to comment
